The colour changes under different lights. First photo was taken in the store so the light was very bright and I love that colour the best! Thank you!
Lovely - though it's a not a 224- it looks somewhat bigger a 225 maybe?
I am actually not sure about the size. The SA said it's small and the actual size is slightly smaller than classic M/L, so is that a 225? I got it at $4350 (CAD$) before tax. My SA said because it's seasonal colour, the price is much lower.
it looks like a 225. you can measure it though to be sure... my 224 is about 8 inches along the bottom. if it's larger than that you have the 225.
I was at Chanel today in kufurstendamm and kadewee (Berlin) with no luck on finding a 224 reissue. Soooo dissapointed! Seems like they were out of stock on everything exept classic bags in larger sizes and some seasonal colourful bags. Didnt have #2 on wishlist eighter woc mini rec and sq or extra mini [emoji30][emoji30][emoji30]

The 224 is my favorite bag. I have a 15 series black iridescent calf one, but have always been searching for an aged calf. I came across a like new 17 series in aged navy and just got it in the mail today.
I was so excited...then I noticed a flaw. On one side, you can see that the leather edge is coming out of the seam. Here's a photo...the area is in the center of the photo.
These 224's are so hard to find. But should I return it? It was basically full retail for the bag when it was initially purchased. Or is this some thing that can easily be fixed? Or do you think that having two 224's is redundant? Here's a photo of the two. Thanks for your help!

Hello ladies! I too have fallen in love with the 224. It is perfectly functional for me, I own a purple patent (14 series).
I love it so much, I ordered a gold (dark) one through ebay last week, 12a I beleive, from a " "reputable" seller. It just arrived, but it feels a little "off"? I've never held a calf skin one, but this has a plasticy feel, not leathery, if that makes sense. Doesn't really smell like leather. The chain links look ok but they are slightly smaller than my purple. And it has an odd Letter S embossed inside which wasn't in the listing photos. Am I being paranoid? I paid just over $2k and hate fakes so this would be reported immediately. (Not asking for authentication, just maybe one of you has seen this color/model or letter S and can clarify?) Ive notified seller too... I am posting photos below but can only do one at a time....

Hello mommyof5, I noticed on this thread page 9 http://forum.purseblog.com/chanel-clubhouse/chanel-reissue-224-club-710696-9.html has a member by the name of chocolat, who posted a pic of hers back in 2012. It seems to be the same as the one you purchased. She did not have a pic of the interior flap so perhaps you could send her a direct message asking her if this is normal? did you authenticate it before you purchased? you can still pay an online authentication company now to do it for you. perhaps they will know and be able to assist you better than the forums. my 224's don't have that stamp and i've not seen it myself on any bags. it doesn't mean it's not authentic just because that stamp is there, but you should have it authenticated if you didn't do so already. their samples do have slightly unusual markings inside (to deter a private sale of the bag) so it could be...
I suspect that you are right. It could be a sample used for runway shows or the like. Otherwise, everything about the bag looks legit to me. I am no authenticator but I have compared your pics with my 2.55s. Congratulations on this beautiful dark gold 224.
