Minis can be very hard. If you visit the collection threads in the Shopping forum you can see what's being released.
Recently there's was green and a fuchsia, with with gold hardware

I like black and ruthenium a lot. The last time Chanel made a black mini reissue with ruthenium was in 2020. Alas, they are super rare.

I also grabbed a so black mini reissue from 21A which I adore. I‘ll try to remain happy with my 226 reissue black/ruthenium at this point as the prices will be a lot higher when Chanel finally release a black mini with RHW.

Hello everyone,
The reissue has been growing on me. I really love the shoulder chains and the understated mademoiselle lock closure. The size 226 in particular is quite perfect -- just a little bit bigger than the medium classic flap, but feels roomier. However, I am still a little undecided about the aged calfskin.

I recall seeing reissues in lambskin and caviar, but I guess they're rare? Does Chanel periodically release the reissue in lambskin or caviar? I know they've offered them in the past because I've seen pics of them here and there.
What are your thoughts on reissues in lambskin/caviar versus aged calfskin? Thanks and looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Sorry for the late reply. Here are the two fav reissues of mine. Both black: 226 RHW and a 21A SO BLACK MINI. Both are MIF. The SO BLACK is definitely has a strong blue undertone and looks more black.

It's quite the same with me, I've suddenly felt the need to add reissue to my collection. I have to many medium sized black bags, so for sure I will go with the mini. I also wasn't a fan of aged calf, but it just grew on me, I think it's unique and very classy so I definitely want one in aged calf.

I love both aged and distressed calfskin! I own bags in all those leathers (lambskin, caviar, distressed & aged calfskin) and I would pick non-caviar calfskin for the handfeel and durability. I know they've released reissues in other leathers at some point over the years, but not in recent seasons. It's been mostly (non-pebbled) calfskin (glossy patent like version or not as glossy) or textiles, fabric, tweed, sequins, etc.

For 22K, it looks like the mini will have 3 reg quilted calfskin minis (white, dark blue & blue, khaki), 1 soblack chevron calfskin mini, and some textile/fabric (?) minis, based on this...

So you think this AG LAI... will be some kind of fabric? If so, I will have to wait for a quilted black a little bit longer than I thought...

Thank you, @Mad_la_mans, and @thundercloud, for your feedback on aged calfskin. One thing I do love about the aged calfskin is how comfortable it is to wear. It's not as structured as the caviar or lambskin classic flap, but still has enough structure. @thundercloud, I had forgotten about tweed reissues! Definitely something to consider, although I prefer leather rather than tweed. I would be curious to see what the mini in khaki looks like.
