Such a beauty. May I know if your reissue already has microchip on it?
i just bought reissue 225 black GHW and doesn‘t have microchip.

Thr SA couldn’t explain it why my bag doesn’t have one while it’s new shipment.
It’s not uncommon to receive older manufacturing dates bags in the “new” shipments. The series will tell specifically the year that bag was made. I bought a 2019 seasonal bag in 2021 from my local boutique.
Also, it’s not a microchip - just a metal plate with the serial number.

Thank you. You ease my mind.
My reissue also came with black dust bag.
I requested white dustbag but the other stock also has black dustbag.
TBH I am not crazily happy about it but i really want the bag.
So i settled with the dust bag issue.

Chanel are not what they used be. Sigh. I’d go in and after politely explaining that you’d bought their classic 2.55 handbag you’d like a classic white dustbag. Sounds like whoever you are working with is simply not willing do their job. They have a gazillion of the classic dustbags. Make it happen. You deserve to get a full set. Yes, the beautiful 2.55 bag is what matters the most! Enjoy your beauty.

how hot is the heat gun to soften the leather but not ruined them?
My gun was a small one that only run up to 200 degrees Celsius, but I would run the heat over the leather and also dab test with my fingers to make sure it wasn’t too hot. Enough to heat and soften the leather but not unbearable to me via quick touch

Question for all reissue lovers! I am contemplating a reissue 225 with ruthenium hardware. How is the wear and tear especially on the chain strap? Does it tarnish easily?
I have a 3-4 year old mini reissue with ruthenium hardware and I wear it a lot and there is no wear on the chain or bag. I store it with tissue paper in the box
and rest it after using it for a few weeks on and off. Ruthenium already has a worn
look to it when you buy it new. It will last and is durable. The reissue is so useful it is my favorite bag. It crossbodies, holds more than a classic and the chain changes lengths.

Mine is not super shiny, but does have some sheen on. She has been holding up quite well, almost 10 years already
Wow it's pretty! Love it! I just bought one myself (it's on its way) and it looks similar to yours yet yours I think has more sheen which I prefer. The pics below makes it appear it has more sheen due to the lighting but it actually doesnt shine much. The shine it has is very subtle. It was not listed as gray metallic but just as gray. I was contemplating between the shiney (chrome like) metallic to the gray one I purchased and decided on the gray. Is mine just gray or does it have a metallic finish but just a light one? There is some slight rubbing only on the corners of the flap which doesn't bother me at all. It is from 2014. I've attached some pics. What are your thoughts and do you use leather conditioner? I want to use leather conditioner on mine as it seems kinda dry and lacks sheen but wonder if the aged look will go away? A youtuber put conditioner on the back pocket of her aged calfskin Reissue and it smoothed out the wrinkles a bit. Can you tell from these pics if this gray has a metallic finish or not? It somewhat looks like it does have one but its barely visible so Im not sure. Any tips on how I should care for it? Thank you! :hugs:
