It looks like glazed calfskin. I am not sure About color transfer but I think glazed calfskin can peel.

Thanks so much for this! I’ve never owned a glazed calfskin Chanel before and had no idea! This bag is from 2018 if that makes any difference. The price is too good to pass on but I’m debating if I should wait for the one I truly want even if it ends up being more expensive.

that does sound fantastic for the condition and full set, wish I could offer experience with a glazed bag but I have aged calfskin reissues. Good luck!

I would wait for the one you really want. I ordered a glazed calfskin beige 225 size reissue from fashionphile a few years back and I felt that it looked kind of cheap compared to the aged calfskin leather. I like the look of the glazed calfskin on a black bag, but on the lighter color it just did not work. However, I would not purchase the black in glazed calfskin either, even if it was at a good price, because it’s not as durable as aged calfskin.

I just ordered a reissue mini from FP in a combo I’ve really wanted - lighter purple in aged calf with GHW. I personally had never seen this exact combo - has anyone seen it? It’s meant to be from 2020. Another question - I was hoping to find a purple aged calf reissue in a larger size - 226 probably - but caved when I saw the combo in the mini. Is this a silly move? I actually carry smaller bags a lot so the size doesn’t bother me except that I thought my reissue purchase would be for a more “classic” size.

Agreed - glazed skin can look good with darker colors, but on lighter ones it just looks cheap to me. I took your advice and gonna wait to get the bag I truly love!

oh my goodness!! Do you have any other pictures of your grey mini reissue you can share? A friend of a friend is selling their light grey (sometimes looks almost blue?) mini reissue and I think it might be the same one you have! Is this from 20p? I’ve been considering it as my first Chanel since it’s just so gorgeous but she doesn’t have much info on it and I’ve only been able to find one listing on fashionphile so far.

Here are some additional pics. The color is a light gray but it does look like a blueish-gray in certain lighting. It is from 20p! Its a great bag and very versatile. You should definitely purchase from your friend!

Love your mini! Looking to add a black to my collection from 22p. Wondering how the structure/leather holds up? Is an insert a must to keep the base from bowing would you say? Thank you
