I love the reissue so much and am about to pull the trigger on a gold one. Do you guys find that the metal straps get dirty over time? the straps on the gold one are super beautiful and a lighter gold, so I am concerned that they might darken and get dirty.

I have never had a problem with dirty chain straps. However, they would be very easy to clean. I would think you could just lower them into a bowl of sudsy water or gentle cleanser and then lay to dry on a towel. You could use an old toothbrush to get into the chains.
It’s beautiful! It’s all subjective. If you absolutely love it and it would be very difficult finding it somewhere else, then a few hundred dollars more than expected shouldn’t make a difference. Although I love a bargain, I have paid a premium to get a bag I love before.
Yes, it is. As long as you love it - it’s worth it. It might seem a lot for a pre loved but in a year or two it’ll become a “bargain”.
Reissue 2.55 Large ( former medium/ 226 ) is $7400 plus almost 10% tax for me in the US.
Thank you guys! I should be getting it today...I love the color combo, just didn't know if I should wait for a grey M/L. I don't have a 226, only have the 225 and already have all the sizes that I want in the CF. I figured it would be good to diversify.
That silver is beautiful! Is that in smooth calfskin?
I've been on/off looking for a 225 or 226 reissue in a leather material other than aged-calf (preferably caviar), but Chanel hasn't been coming out with those in recent seasons!

I much prefer re-issues over CF’s! I think the re-issue is just more-everything. I see soooo many CF’s but rarely the reissue, so only you know it is Chanel...that being said- I think the price is fine- it’s all about if you love the colour combo. I personally love the grey- timeless- and perfect for all seasons.
