Questions for a reissue newbie!

I'm looking at purchasing one of the smaller bags-- 224 and am trying to decide between a single flap that is in exactly the color I want or holding out for a double flap. I'm having a hard time finding details about the measurement or substantive differences between the single and double flap 224s and I'm also wondering if anyone has owned both and has a preference between the two! Also, does anyone know what the current new pricing difference between the single and double flaps is? Thanks :D

I’m not sure about price difference since I bought both preloved. I have the 224 (double flap) and used to have the mini (single flap) which I sold. Dimensions are pretty similar (if not exactly the same). I felt like the single flap made it more spacious on the inside. The bag is so small to begin with, I don’t have much use for the extra pockets in my 224. I am personally indifferent between the two models as long as the secondhand price is fair to me (<$3800) and I like the color (my 224 is a plum color with dark silver hardware from 2012 which is pretty unique).

Thank you SO much! Exactly the advice I was looking for- I’ve found one second hand that is exactly the color I’m looking for and a very good price ($3k- pristine condition). I just wanted to make sure that the double flap wasn’t significantly more preferred than the single :) I’m going to get it! 1762C5E8-05E1-45A3-A597-222DE3EF1964.png

I don't find the 2 bags heavy at all. I got them in the 225 size. I find them to be a little lighter than my medium classics. The chevron bag does show marks more but I wouldn't say that it scratches easily. The distressed leather is much more forgiving. Good thing is I can buff any marks or scuffs with the cleaning cloth that comes in the booklet.
