This really belongs in the CHANEL in action thread - but we are little sparse in photoS here so... My latest super skinny jeans from GAP, CHANEL TOP, CHANEL sandals and 224... oh yes and CHANEL leather camelia.... oh dear god! I am wearing too much CHANEL...and for all CHANEL 224 enthusiasts - this season CHANEL brought this out in black caviar too

Love the pics! You are a certified Chanelite/ Chanelista/ Chanelette/ Chanelholic, OP! ;)

Sorry it took so long. Here's a mod pic! I forgot to take detail pics before I boxed it up again lol. I'll take some next time I bring it out.

I love it! It's small, but it still holds enough for a dinner outing or something. I think I fit an iPhone, Chanel coin/card case, lipstick, and blotting papers. The lipstick pocket is little shallow to completely fit a Chanel rouge coco shine lipstick.

That is one great modeling shot! Really brings out the cuteness of the purse, yet showing its elegance at the same time. Love it!

Gorgeous! It looks like the perfect size for you.

So I have been contemplating another mini in my collection for fall. I enjoyed my green mini all summer on and off but soon it's time to tuck her away to rejuvenate.
I would like a small bag for evenings and errands and do not have the classic reissue in black aged calfskin GHW. I have a 225 size light gold with GHW and enjoy her thoroughly .......
My thought was possibly to purchase a 224 in black GHW. I believe it's $3700, so much pricier than a mini but I just love that it's a true mini classic......many of you here on this thread have more experience than I with these cute sized reissues. I can easily fit into a rectangular mini because I can travel light and use the small half Chanel wallet so I am assuming size is not a concern for me. Please share your thoughts with me, love to hear from you ......

^as much as i love my 224, i find the 225 more practical and tend to reach for it more than my 224. the 225 is small enough for going out /evening events but will hold a bit more than the 224/mini classic flap. it's just fun to get the whole spectrum of sizes, but given the price points now, i think personally my next reissue would be a 225 size...but i do adore this 224 club :winkiss:

I have seen pictures of your incredible collection of reissues in every size! Simply perfect! I agree the 225 size is more practical but I just love varying my sizes of classic flaps to create diversity in my collection. Do you feel the proportions of the chain and hardware look charming on your 224's?
And I can't wait for you to open your refrigerator box :)

^thanks ********! reissues are definitely my weakness. i wear the 224 single-chained over the shoulder and imo it's just a tad too long (but i don't mind too much), so if you are taller than 5'3 i think it would look a little more proportional on you than on me. if you are looking for variety, i would say go for it. there are few things cuter than a 224. it looks like a doll bag in its tiny dust bag/box but totally has all the details of its bigger sisters, double flap and all--and ya, it all looks proportional.

ps: i'm excited to come home to the loot inside that frigo box too!!

I'm 5'7" so length single chained should be fine. It sits little too high cross body for me :(
I just love small bags for evenings, and that it comes in its own mini box, dust bag etc, is just too special. I was considering lucky charms in this size but I think I will go the classic route :)
I saw the pics of your embellished reissues, oh my goodness! The light gold special addition is simply my favorite....do you use your "extra special bags" often...
Thank you for the advice, I will start a hunt ;)
Come home soon :)

^ahh yes, the lucky charms reissue...major sigh. and the limited edition gold reissue...double sigh. LOL. i do take them out every so often for date night (assuming it's not a high-traffic event where i'd be paranoid about bumping my bag into peeps/things), and i've been pretty good about keeping my resolution of using all these great bags in this lifetime. but i'll admit i still find a lot of secret joy in walking into my closet and just enjoying these bags like i would some painting in a museum! i think i'm not the only one to feel this way :p

i'm excited about your 224 hunt-- can't wait to see your reveal for our 224 club!!

I know exactly that feeling of viewing that secret painting in my Chanel armoire! I have a few dainty treasures myself that need lots of TLC.
Trying to use my collection more but it's nice to have a couple of 'paintings' on reserve in my repertoire of Chanel bags too ;)

I was taking my 224 out of the box to pack into my suitcase when I realized that I didn't have a dust bag. Is that normal? Or did the store forget to give me one? If so, is there any way I can get one from a Chanel boutique? There's only a tiny one near me in San Francisco.
