Chanel Price Increase *please include location*

Its sad but true, my SA confirmed that new prices take effect on 11/15/17. The price increase is not limited to classics, the mini flaps (square and rectangular minis) will be included in the price increase as well - going up approx $200 USD.
 
I just got a text from my SA from the chanel inside Neiman's she said increase is taking effect Nov 15 & the jumbo will go up to 5900. I was on the waitlist for a jumbo & was lucky enough to get one months ago at the free standing boutique. Run ladies if your looking at buying a classic.

I know, this is a hard decision. I have points built up just for this moment but now feel it will all go to the increase, I've really gotten nowhere and it's unsettling. I know people say you can buy from Bergdorf's without tax if you don't live in New York, (you do) but I had a bad experience with them on a pair of Louboutin shoes 2 years ago. The return took over a month, they said they never got the shoes. I finally got to the bottom of it and demanded my money from Neimans. They were sitting in the warehouse for almost 2 weeks. Ugh. Now, not to see a bag in person, spend thousands and have to return to them bothers me. I can't shake the experience.:shocked: Oh, I feel sorry for you about the SA and understand how you feel. We have some time to digest this.:smile:
Hello again dearest whiteswan1010, I just received confirmation from my Chanel boutique SA that they are starting to receive cruise pieces today but cannot ring them up until the 7th. She's hoping that the minis will come in before the 15th when the increase goes into affect. Hope this was a bit helpful lovely. Hang in there.:flowers::flowers:

Hello @fally Thanks for the information. I have plans to visit my local boutique on Sunday, now I'm not sure if I should wait a few more days. I wanted to see the neutrals in person I'm interested in. I'm not so sure about that "cruise" pricing though. The Manager I spoke with yesterday said no matter when they are released new price will be inside of bag.
I can't imagine SA's all over the country staying up all night on the 14th to insert new price tags for cruise.:-s I can't seem to get an honest answer from anyone. I thought about purchasing an existing "beige clair", my least favorite beige color, but decided not to settle for something I'm not 100% happy with. I always try to live by the rule that when things get too complicated and difficult in any situation that life brings it's just not mean't to be...:hrmm::sad:
 
The Coco handle flaps already went up in boutiques, $600 increase for the medium and $500 for the small. Currently NM and a few other dept stores have the old prices. That's a huge jump!

So sorry hun, I too don't know what to believe but the Chanel SA seems to be honest and reliable. I guess i need to just have faith that it will work out as well. You are so right about not willing to compromise just because it's in the beige family. Here's hoping that the manager was wrong. Keep us posted on how it goes. Good luck hun.:hugs:

Oh doll sorry about BG. I have had nothing but terrible experiences with them. I purchased my small classic flap from them 3 years ago and the series should have started with 19 but my bag had an 18 series which wasn't the issue but after I removed the plastic zip tie looking tag from the bag due to my lack of inspection I noticed that the bag was dull, dry, flat and some of the quilts were dented. I applied some leather conditioner but it always goes back to a dry finish and now has a bit of an off putting scent. Lesson learned I thought but then 17B rolled around and they had the dark beige mini which I purchased only to notice a multitude of issues with the bag and decided to sent it back because the SA knowingly sold me a less than desirable bag and stopped communicating with me after I reached out to her.

In any case I tried again to contact Chanel within BG and hoped that someone would help me source the bag only for a very rude and condescending SA that I found on the recommended thread to have the nerves to belittle me via text on the etiquette of how I need to build a relationship with a particular SA in order to find a sought after piece such as a mini. I mean for heaven sakes I then had to explain that my BG SA Doreen no longer works there and so I am in search for a new SA and yet this jerk felt the need to tell me that there are no minis coming out for Cruise and the wait list is two years long blah, blah , blah. I basically told him thank you for your time and some other words then ended the conversation, Long story short BG will never get another dime from me. Sorry for the rant hun.

Hello darling hedgwin99, I completely agree with you. I told him that I was hoping to find an SA who wouldn't treat me as if I were incompetent and without judgement but unfortunately this is how many of us are treated when it comes to purchasing Chanel. And I said thank you for taking the time teach me the in's and out's of Chanel it's been insightful. He finally texted back "I am sorry you left the conversation feeling that way, it was not my intent" Not sure if he apologized because I called him out or if he's truly delusional. LOL:flowers::wave:
