With the price increase in Europe, it doesn’t make sense to buy there either considering the airfare and stay.

No, just the classic handbags. The mini is going up 200 and the classic flaps are going up 400.

The boys aren't increasing in price either [emoji120] good luck everyone

I’ve decided to sit back and enjoy my few bags.

According to Chanel at South Coast Plaza, the price increase is for the Classics and Reissues (for right now). It could be a 6-10% increase.

My city has a 10.1% sales tax on top of that. Ugh!

Oh well, I’m going to have to be very particular about purchasing. I might be that one bag a year kind of gal.

The upcoming price of a Jumbo classic equals one or two trips to Europe, or as my daughter puts it- a stay at the Disneyland hotel and four days at Disneyland two times.

I have a Jumbo and a Reissue. Sadly, only in black. Maybe someday I’ll be able to get a caramel and a grey bag, without feeling sick to my stomach when I sign the receipts.

Oh doll sorry about BG. I have had nothing but terrible experiences with them. I purchased my small classic flap from them 3 years ago and the series should have started with 19 but my bag had an 18 series which wasn't the issue but after I removed the plastic zip tie looking tag from the bag due to my lack of inspection I noticed that the bag was dull, dry, flat and some of the quilts were dented. I applied some leather conditioner but it always goes back to a dry finish and now has a bit of an off putting scent. Lesson learned I thought but then 17B rolled around and they had the dark beige mini which I purchased only to notice a multitude of issues with the bag and decided to sent it back because the SA knowingly sold me a less than desirable bag and stopped communicating with me after I reached out to her.

In any case I tried again to contact Chanel within BG and hoped that someone would help me source the bag only for a very rude and condescending SA that I found on the recommended thread to have the nerves to belittle me via text on the etiquette of how I need to build a relationship with a particular SA in order to find a sought after piece such as a mini. I mean for heaven sakes I then had to explain that my BG SA Doreen no longer works there and so I am in search for a new SA and yet this jerk felt the need to tell me that there are no minis coming out for Cruise and the wait list is two years long blah, blah , blah. I basically told him thank you for your time and some other words then ended the conversation, Long story short BG will never get another dime from me. Sorry for the rant hun.

Same! The jumbo is going up 400 dollars. So that's about 18 percent increase including my state's sales tax. If you want a caramel, my nm sa had a caramel/dark nude jumbo yesterday [emoji102] after this I'm taking a Chanel break. Unless something amazing comes out.

I remember the increases in Europe and Asia being straight % across the board ie. 5%, 8%. The increase in the US doesn't seem as fair. If all classics get $400 added, the M/L gets an 8% increase whereas the jumbo get a 6%.
