I think my main problem is sticker shock. I've paid upwards of $6K for a couple of bags- each time barely using and selling them (as pristine as possible). The Reissue, if kept, I plan to use and pass to my daughter. I've come to that point in life where I don't care about resale value, I care about lovin' and using the (very few) bags I have decided to keep.
After reading your post, I think I like the Marmot price more than I actually like the bag. To be honest, it wasn't the quality I'm accustomed to owning, but it's also 1/2-1/3 the price I sometimes spend. Please don't get me wrong, it's a great bag line. I guess the bags I've chosen in the past are a bit more structured, have more "weight" and have a potential to last longer- thus, a reason for the price difference.
Let's see what kind of clarity morning will bring. I have a feeling I'm going to choose to keep the Reissue and limit my Chanel bag purchases to one (

) a year.
