The Chanel Canada website now shows the jumbo at 6250! I think the price was around $7000 before. Thats a substantial drop.

I guess that's in CAD? With the current FX rates, that makes it a lot cheaper in Canada than the UK.

And much cheaper than the us! Jeez. It'd be worth a drive to Canada. I'd save 800 on a jumbo and wouldn't I get vat back too?

My understanding is that the tax on goods in Canada is non-refundable and this tax can be as high as 15% of the sales price (added to it much like US Sales Tax, not included in it like VAT) depending on the province.

I don't think this price decrease has been confirmed. Someone who spoke with their SA said it's likely a mistake.

I also heard rumors of the price increase on April 1st of 20% in Euro. But, it's rumored to only be the Boy bags to match the US market. However, there may be a US increase of 15% on Boy bags as well. So, an example of the US small boy bag is $4,200, soon to be around $5,000 with the increase. Don't quote me but this is the information I was provided with through a few friends.

Saw this today https://www.bragmybag.com/chanel-price-increase-2017/. I can see an increase happening in the U.K. But not in the US. Van cleef actually lowered prices recently here.

The director at Chanel Vancouver (Canada) confirmed the price change was a computer glitch and Chanel will try to rectify it by the end of the day.

I went to Vancouver store SA said she never heard of any price increase in April.

I posted in the Paris stock thread. I saw on a personal shoppers account there will be an increase in Paris on 1st April. Not if across select items or across all items though
