I just read a lot about ppl having issues with the quality of chanel bags. It somehow caught me off guard, I have been set on buying chanel for years and now that I am about to all these stories about quality problems scare me.

Do problems like this occur with a lot of WOCs, too, or is it just bigger bags that seem to have flaws lately? (flat quilts, loose stitches, unraveling leather in the chains etc)

Yes at least New Bond Street offers it, but most stores usually offer slightly higher exchange rates so I usually choose to pay ik the local currency.
On the quality-yes I've had problems with items. Some things that are mentioned here are down to taste, some quality; but I've always had good service so I'm sticking with Chanel. Feel free to send me a PM to stay on-topic here [emoji4]

No U.S. hasnt has any price increase since May 2014 besides the minis.

However US prices are the highest right now among all.

U.S. prices are higher than Canada and Australia after their increases. USD is very strong against all currencies!

Housing is very tough in Northern California and an apartment in San Francisco is more expensive than my friend's flat in zone 2 in London. Yes the space is bigger but the price you pay per person isn't lower and keep in mind GBP has been weakening against USD while housing in Northern California has shot up more than 20% year over year at least in the past few years.


Size of serving is highly correlated with size of ppl...[emoji28] agree with you on that!

And UK prices now are at least $1000 cheaper for an old medium boy in U.S.!


Given the big price gap between US and the rest of the world, I don't think there's going to be increase In U.S.

Anyhow, I'm with Laybelle. There's always rumors about price increase but I'll only believe it when it comes!

I don't mean to go off topic sorry but I really hope uS Chanel won't increase price cuz at the moment cost of plane tix worth it to go buy Chanel from Europe. [emoji4]

+1 ........besides there was an article that I read that said CHANEL was going to level off prices around the world compare to US.

Hi, I'm not sure if this is a price increase or not but I'm on the list at NM for a chevron large boy bag in calf (black) and the SA said it would be $5500. I saw it on the current price list for $5200. This will be my first Chanel purchase so I'm not sure why it's higher? :hrmm:

New Medium is 5200.00. Large is 5500.00. Check the dimensions with your SA NM is 11", Large is 12". HTH.
