Hello dear PF-bag-lovers,

I am currently saving for my first chanel piece (WOC) and have hesitated to buy it in store, because I might have the chance to get it tax free in a couple of weeks at an airport.

I just browsed the internet for current prices and was shocked to see that bragmybag.com lists a price increase for chanel bags "as of feb. 2016". what the heck? Does anyone know anything about this? They just increased in november, how can they increase again?

Is this confirmed? I havent read about it anywhere else so I am wondering where this information is coming from. I am seriously going to go nuts if I have just saved up the right amount and then they increase it again! heeelp!

I saw you guys discussing a price increase but where does this website get the actual prices from???


I myself went to a boutique in Germany middle of January and, when asking about an increase, the SA shook her head and said she doesnt know and also cant tell. dont dooo this to ppl who save forever, chanel! :-D

The Feb 2016 listed there are actually the prices from the 2015 increase, and are still the same now.

no, unfortunately they are not: The Euro-Price for the WOC is still 1740 currently in shops and is stated there as 1830 as of february. Same with UK: Woc says 1260 currently and an increase to 1280...

Interesting, it's only the classic quilted WOC though, the classic flap and Boy prices are 100% the same. Also the Timeless and Boy WOCs seem the same. My SA didn't say there was any increase coming there, I'll ask next time I visit.

Now what could be an explanation for the EU is that they slightly increased the price of the quilted WOC to match the Boy WOC like the US as out here until now (or should I say last week) it was still €1740 vs €1850 (and €1520 for the timeless version). But why they'd make it €1830 and not just a 100% match still sounds odd.

In any event, if this is the rumoured EU price increase then I'm mighty glad. [emoji6]

I agree, It would be a relief if that was the increase but still, if you think about how you could spend 80 otherwise (thats 3 dinners, fancy ones, for a student like me :-D), then u know.... Id rather pay the old price :P

I asked in another thread but perhaps u guys are quicker: I converted the current UK price to euros (1260pounds) and it shows up as a Euro Price thats Cheaper than in Germany due to the weak pound (1650 something)! Is that true? I might as well get it in London... :-D

Could well be - when I bought a bag in London the pound was higher, but now it's better. Just keep an eye on the exchange rates [emoji4]

Will do! Most stores offer you to pay in Euros or Pounds when you pay with debit card, do you maybe know if chanel does that, too?

I just read a lot about ppl having issues with the quality of chanel bags. It somehow caught me off guard, I have been set on buying chanel for years and now that I am about to all these stories about quality problems scare me.

Do problems like this occur with a lot of WOCs, too, or is it just bigger bags that seem to have flaws lately? (flat quilts, loose stitches, unraveling leather in the chains etc)
