oh no... hopefully there won't be an increase for the Euro prices... but unfortunately I suppose there will be one, too - oh boy, don't want to think about the prices for the classics after the increase

10% would be insane - for example, the rectangular Mini is 2490 Euros at the moment, with an 10% increase it would be around 2700 Euros... that's really bad

Don't worry. You will still pay less than what I pay I US! Hopefully that makes you feel better! [emoji38]


I did the math. For new price of rectangular mini GBP 2020, that will be about USD$2900. This was the same price last year before 16C price increase in U.S. [emoji29] now it's $3100.

I just refuse to think about it when I buy.

This is true!! US will always more expensive due to the tax 😣...unless we buy from BG or Hirsh.

I have just spoken with my lovely SA in Germany for 20 Minutes: She said she has not heard anything about a prince increase in the UK. She also said it its insanely uncommon for this to be announced only 24 Hours in advance, she thinks that is strange. She also said, UK and German Market is different. She is going to call me about my WOC as soon as it gets in, but she did promise me, that even if there WERE any price increases in Germany, Chanel would always inform customers officially and with a minimum of 3 weeks in advance - its does not just change overnight miraculously.

That sounds good to me!

I've just called the boutique and prices have gone up in the UK. They are yet to be altered on the website, but they have definitely increased in store. A01112 (classic flap) was £3075 and is now £3380.
The markets are very different and what occurs in the UK is not necessarily reflected anywhere else in the world. There has been no mention of a price increase in Europe that I'm aware of. This increase is, it appears, only in the UK.

Yes, exactly! Im so glad. Well, acutally im not - I am half british and visiting london next week and wanted to buy it there and have a special purchasing story to go with it ;) now it looks like the German Boutique will have to do.

300pounds more? Holy Sh..... It is so random though that they did it without any kind of public announcement, dont you think?

Last increase in Germany and the rest of EU market was Apr 2015.

I'm not sure Chanel actually gave 3 week notice last time. Usually the pattern is we see some posts on TPF and prices change within a few days if we are lucky.

Can someone remind me? Was that actually announced 3 weeks before increase?

I remember that all the big fashion blogs had confirmed information three weeks before and german newspapers published news around March 18th that the increase would hit on April 8th. (see e.g. here or here, the last one is some austrian newspaper)... I defo knew by then, but didnt have the money to buy anything back then ;)

That was a solid three weeks before. I guess I can just hope and believe what my SA said. tbh, I trust her completely, she even said she would make sure, if, for some crazy reason, there should be an increase announced she would call me and let me know... so Ill keep you posted, if interested. until then its a wait and see (until my WOC is there :-D) but im somewhat more relaxed as I was worried she would quote me a higher price today.
