I think people who would knowingly and purposely buy counterfeit bags would buy counterfeit bags, while those who wouldn't, they simply wouldn't do so, no matter what.

It all boils down to their attitude towards counterfeit bags.

Some people buy counterfeit bags even if they can well afford the authenticatic ones, while others who cannot afford it do it because (whatever their reasons are...).

There are many who simply do not buy counterfeit bags, period. If the price tag of certain bags go beyond their price comfort zone, they simply go without carrying that particular bag.

Many Saks SAs are quoting the $3100 price for minis for cruise reservations.
However, BG and Hirshleifers are still quoting the $2900 price minis for cruise reservations.

I can't imagine 10k for a jumbo. What is Chanel's strategy here? Do they think entering Hermes's price bracket will give them the Hermes caché or enable them to overtake Hermes? I know Chanel is supposed to introduce online shopping fall 2016. Maybe these price increases are intended to temper online shopping demand.

So many posters in PurseForum said they're considering jumping ship to Hermes with these increases. After a while you feel offended.

Seriously, when my friend found out about the price increase she was offended. This is exactly what she said "Who does Chanel think it is?! Hermes? Chanel will never be Hermes" LOL. I was dying laughing. Ofcourse she was mad at the time.

Thanks, yes maybe in a few years. But I hear I must buy a lot of other Hermes first before they can consider me a worthy customer, which is annoying. However I am now being sent the Hermes catalogues, after buying some watch straps and getting my watch serviced, so maybe its a start!.

I'm with you on hopping over to the Orange side. Chanel prices are getting too ridiculous. I'll just save my $$ and fly to Europe to buy my Chanel. I can't justify the prices here in the states.
