Oh gosh I paid over 5100 usd for the small classic flap. Can't believe that the medium flap still cost so much cheaper in Europe even with a price increase (not including a vat refund). Oh well.... I am happy to have had a few pieces in my collection that will last a life time and then be passed to my little girl.

It was $4700 usd and 8.875% in N.Y.C bringing my total to over $5100 usd. I was referencing the fact that the medium which is being sold for $4260 euro is still considerably lower that what I paid for the small in terms of the usd. I am so sorry for the confusion. I bought the classic medium, black in caviar last month and looking forward to get it in red now. Looking at the Chanel website I could see that the prices hadn't gone up but I didn't see classic so I wasn't sure if they went up or not.

Thanks for clearing up. BTW, you are right it is cheaper in Europe, this is why I am thinking may be I should wait to get my other Chanel until I go to Paris this summer.
I hate being on edge about these Chanel increases....it's like doomsday every time. I've decided to buy only pristine condition vintage Chanel pieces - better quality and I still save money.

Chanel is the same price throughout Europe, only difference is VAT. Supposedly, Italy has better VAT return. While the price might be similar, after you get VAT back, Europe is becomes cheaper by ~$500Thanks!
