Chanel Price Increase *please include location*

To all of you who don't already know this, or haven't figured it out already, Chanel increases it's prices every 6 months because it can. This should be reason enough not to wait to buy one. The classics are just going to get more expensive.

Also, have a SA (like me) find the bags for you. I never understand when women tell me they are "hunting" for this bag. You are more likely going to get the bag from a Saks or Neimans than a Chanel Boutique. I have had women come in and say they are on a year wait list for a WOC and Saks got the bag in a month.

Just venting.

No one knows if they are officially discounted - look at the most recent purse blog.

The GST is available in stores in both black with GHW and shw at Nordstrom

If you are really to purchase I can share my SA'S name and #. They just received a shipment this week.

When is the next price increase? By what amounts?

Are the GSTs and WOCs going to be discontinued?

It's true that classics requires some "hunting" sometimes.

I asked 3 Saks SAs before I can find a black caviar m/l classic SHW.
First 2 SAs all have black lamb m/l SHW and black caviar in GHW.
No stores were willing to give up classics and filled location orders although I've seen some posted here and a handful in Saks system!

And my local NM has a classic woc wait list of over 400! It's true that it was way easier to get one from Saks than my local NM!

In general I think the difference is that Chanel SA has done more business with tourists (and no return issues with tourists) and department stores SA works with local customers. My local Chanel is packed with tourists especially after lunch time therefore I only go in in the morning when my SA is not too busy .....:smile1:

The flap bag is a different story. You will most likely be on a waitlist for that, although some SAs are better at getting them than others. GSTs and boy bags are easier to get. Also, if you have a good SA they will put you on multiple waitlists, not a just a local one.
