I also just got a text from my SA who said that Chanel is getting rid of (or increasing the price of) any bag that is under $5k.

What that means for the WOCS/Mini/GSTs of the world, I do not know.

Well, unfortunately I have the feeling that there will be indeed another price increase this year... but when it will happen, no one knows...

What I don't believe is that Chanel will discontinue all bags under $ 5k... that would mean in worst case scenario no seasonal bags anymore, no Mini, WOC, GST... But: even if Chanel wants to get more exclusive (maybe like Hermes), Chanel is still a company that wants to sell... and so you need a large range of customers and you don't get that when you only sell bags with a price that's above $5k ...

MJ, with another price increase, classic m/l is $4900 right now and that will push it above $5K.

Mini, GST and WOCs aren't considered classics for Chanel

The way I read it is that SA's comment is stating the price increase will come and classics won't be below $5K

I have a Single Caviar Jumbo with SHW (wich I love dearly) and am going to sell my Cosmos to fund a new bag. Which one do you think I should get?

- Black Old Medium Boy with any hardware
- Black M/L Caviar with GHW
- Black Reissue 226 with GHW

I am not considering other colors for now. Those are always cheaper in the second-hand market.

I would suggest the Reissue. It's the actual bag that CoCo intended to be a classic. Plus, it's very understated wealth.
