I've just bought a red m/l flap with gunmetal hardware from the mothership rue de cambon in Paris .

It is a lovely bright red not the darker red of the classic red as in the woc . I think its the same as Trina leavers one . it was euro 3245

I also bought a woc from there too.

They put me on the classic staircase where Chanel did their fashion shows as well to take pics . So nice in there !

The price increase I asked about and she said a firm non , not till next year?

I did find this out (and I called Chanel customer service to confirm my suspicion): It turns out that Chanel sets msrp on (e.g. on caviar boy woc and gold lamb boy woc) at $2300, which is what the Chanel boutiques, and dept stores such as NM, Saks, etc. set as well. However, Jeffrey NY has set their caviar boy woc at $2475 because Chanel customer svc CONFIRMED that the stores not owned by Chanel (Jeffrey NY is not owned by Chanel) are free to either follow or exceed the msrp! I talked to the manager at Jeffrey NY, who insisted that $2475 is the new caviar boy woc price at Chanel, but what he did not wish to admit was that his store was free and authorized by Chanel to charge more than the msrp, which is exactly what JNY is doing. $2475 is NOT the new caviar boy woc price. There has not been ANOTHER price increase on the caviar boy woc. It's still $2300 at NM, BG, and Saks. JNY has just chosen to charge more than the current price suggested by Chanel. I just wish these places wouldn't confuse clients with their wish to exceed msrp by misrepresenting that as a price increase!

Thanks for sharing! But NM, Saks and BG are not owned by Chanel either yet they can't set their prices?

LV leases space inside the dept stores, but I heard that Chanel doesn't operate that way, and the Chanel products are actually part of the dept store inventory.
I'm assuming NM/Saks/BG etc put forth more of an effort of good faith and just go with the Chanel pricing, which is great for us! Can you tell I'm not happy with JNY LOL?!
Of course, I'm not sure if I have a complete pic of what's going on, and I know for a fact that my way of explaining things can sometimes end up confusing others even more. With that said, it's just my personal opinion that the caviar boy woc really is 2300. The Chanel boutiques and chain dept stores are selling at these prices. the gold lamb/calf (?) woc is 2300. the black lamb/black hw woc is 2150. It's just the single stores like JNY (and maybe Hirsch?) that are charging 2475 for these same woc's :(

I think JNY is the only place where the navy caviar boy woc was ordered... so if anyone wanted it, they might've been okay to pay the increased price... so sad!! they should go by chanel pricing.

europe countries using euros!! :) you can try planning trip for their low season... sometimes plane tickets are cheap in nov-feb time... here in US, i've seen it as low as $500 roundtrip?? if you are flexible with time.. in that case, you bring back 2 classics and you saved so much money!!!

That's horrible that JNY is charging higher than the MSRP, esp since they are buying at wholesale from chanel.
