It's incredibly annoying, and I guess they love the rush of people buying because they don't know (it's worked pretty well for periods in the past year, and really working well now). Usually some stores know it's coming (like Dior will know a few days ahead, but one price increase last year caught them all by surprise). If they'd just announce the day, you could know it and shop accordingly. But this not saying when you directly ask is pretty rude and a bit insensitive.

SA do no tell us,they do money now,nobody want to pay over,and people buy everything ,to find anything is a problem because store is sold out everything ,a lot of people on waiting list...

I was at the Chanel Newbury Str in Boston and Neiman Marcus - both had a small selection of Chanels. Although I was surprised that my SA told me they only received one jumbo double flap ghw black lamb and I got it because my name was top of the list. I asked about the price increase but unfortunately I didn't get any info or confirmation.
