Got these two beauties yesterday in Harrods. I've waited for this colour for so long, have almost given up. The classic one is lambskin. I usually only go for caviar leather for obvious reasons, but they didn't have it in caviar in this colour.

I don't know how often Chanel boutique at Harrods is restocked; but they seemed to be running out of medium classic flaps. They didn't have many minis either. I wasn't after one, but almost everyone was asking about a mini. I heard another SA offering an "alternative" as a popular choice; but I don't think that the customer was convinced.

One thing that the SA mentioned; and I am not sure if it is something new or specifically related to Harrods. She said that she needed an approval from her manager to be able to sell me two bags, as they only allow no more than two handbags to the same individual/address in two months (was absolutely fine with me as I don't shop in Harrods that often :smile:).

Oh, no :sad:. Must be so disappointing. How could that go through their quality control, there are just so many complaints nowadays about their quality. Hope you get a good quality replacement for this one.
I am generally slightly paranoid about lambskin bags, so I did give mine a good look-over. I am now preparing myself for the upcoming wear & tear and inevitable scratches. At least the medium will have less surface to be scratched than jumbo :-s

Yeah i was very disappointed today after double checking at home. I thought i checked very thoroughly while in the store, but i guess not thoroughly enough. Hopefully there is another available. As the policy where i am there is absolutely no refund :sad:

How sad that you got home and saw that, my store also has no refund policy:(
I am also bothered by the fact that some stores seem to have plenty of different merchandise while others have nothing. My store had no beige at all , not classic or even the 19b color. I have been wanting beige for so long :(

Horrible, very sorry to read about that (and I can relate, no refunds here either, though I would insist this was a defect, not an exchange) but not really a surprise. Even my SA used to tell me to please take my time and inspect every bag before purchasing because everyone is aware of these increasing quality issues. I know we usually just take a rough look at the bag, especially when being in that ecstatic purchasing mode, but I also learned my lesson. Hope you will be able to find a solution with your store!

Gorgeous bags!

The manager approval at harrods has been around for a while. I’ve managed to buy multiples often and they always do the manager approval thing but I’ve always been approved. I think they’re just trying to stop resellers so they check your purchase history to see you’re not buying multiples of the same item

Hi Ladies!
Has anyone seen the XXL in person yet? I’m particularly interested to know if the so black version is going to be available in the smaller size that’s priced at $5800.. I have texted my NM SA but she is unsure if they are getting them in black at all.. Any help of where I can track down this bag is appreciated!! TIA!
