If it’s a gift send, they can still do tax free to CA (or whichever state outside of NY). Otherwise we’re taxed in CA now when shopping at BG, unfortunately.

In my particular situation ordering from Bloomingdales in NYC and not BG they didn't charge me tax when I ordered my red mini reissue. I ordered it over the phone and was ship to TX.

You know it was weird because when I ordered at first I wasn’t tax, then I ordered a second time (just couple of days apart) then all of the sudden I was taxed. So I don’t know how their system works.

Yeah, Ive also always thought I would buy the mini (looks better cross body and a little more economic ). But Ive searched for the perfect red rectangular for years now, so if they make the perfect red in the small classic, I might go for that, because who knows if they will ever make a perfect red for mini rectangular
