Does anyone know if the stores get new stock in every morning? I’m looking for a mini rectangle in grey and while I didn’t mind queuing in the morning, I don’t want to queue only to find that the bag I want isn’t available. Thanks in advance

I think they do receive new stock during the week so it's worth calling in first thing to ask if the bag in question is available instead of wasting your time coming in. Best way is to be-friend an SA (if you do decide to make a trip into the shop) and ask them to notify you when available.

Thanks so much for your reply. I guess my issue with calling in the morning is that the half the stores don’t seem to answer the phone, so it can be quite frustrating

I understand your frustration! London's a tough market for desirable Chanel bags right now. Maybe worthwhile making a trip to a shop and trying to get the card of an SA. That way you can text them each morning to check on whether they have the bag in stock. That's probably your best bet at getting a bag as they are able to hold it for you the morning it arrives.
It really is a bit of a waiting game, mixed in with some luck. Let us know how you get on!

Thank you for all your advice! You’d have thought that with there being fewer tourists in London, it’d be easier to obtain a bag. Hopefully I’ll have some good news to post later in the week

I know Harrods extremely well and I never found the customer service 10 years ago to be very nice however I think you just have to get lucky to have a sales person who is at least polite and functional even though you should be able to expect more spending thousands of pounds on a handbag.
I am a little bit annoyed with the long queues outside of the stores but I’m glad for the members who have kindly posted this information and really feeling far too old and dont have the energy to be on the hunt for a handbag I’ll probably only popping in if there is no queue or if there’s only maybe just two people in the line but I’m really not going to be waiting around for a handbag which is probably sold out!
I’m glad I’m over the mini craze I did manage to get one from Harrods last year and it was really easy thank God but ended up not wanting it

i really really wanted a black mini flap for my birthday (last month), but i called London boutiques regularly since April, Manchester said their waitlist was closed and to try next season etc. I had a purchase history but still no one seemed interested in helping me. I went on holiday to Dubai in September and found a gorgeous mini top handle at the airport and fell in love, i bought it immediately. When i went to the boutiques in Dubai, they didn't have mini flaps but were willing to text me when it was in stock straight away. I would have put my name down, if i hadn't already purchased the mini top handle

I feel like its easier to get mini flaps abroad than the UK

Strange… since I went there yesterday and the guy at the entrance said they don’t have any. Even though I had just purchased an item from Chanel in Selfridges and had a bag in my hand. So it’s not like I wouldn’t have bought it. This is getting ridiculous
