Hi Kate, they had it in the med/large and Jumbo size at the Harrods retrospective, but that was at the beginning of September and they sold a lot of stock then.

Have you called around looking for it? Its a beautiful colour :smile1:

Just picking back up on this thread - Did you manage to locate one, Kate? I am probably too late but do you know what the product code is? I'd love one in the jumbo or large!

Chloe-Babe, you wouldnt happen to have spotted any on any recent shopping trips, would you?! I only ask because I am also in London :)

I went into the Selfridges concession today to enquire but they are preparing for Cruise which arrives next week!
 
I am not very happy with Chanel's quality or customer service so far. I wanted to share with your my bad experience so far...

I recently purchased a Black classic caviar ML flap, but later noticed that the sides of the leather where the flaps are stitched is scruffy, and you can see the underlying stitches. Also the diamond pleating was not continuous in the front when you close the flap and was very maligned.

So I exchanged it yesterday for another bag, but immediately noticed that there was a difference in the glossiness of the bags - my faulty bag was more glossier and black then the new one that I had exchanged. The SA who served me was telling me that all my findings were completely normal, although I pointed out that the other caviar bags did not have the scruffiness at the sides.

When I got home I could feel a horizontal crease on the inside pocket behind the inside flap - I don't remember the old faulty bag having this. There is also a scratch mark at the inside of the red leather of the bag at the bottom... and a faint scratch on the interior of the flap.

I tried to do another exchange today but wanted to go to a different branch, but it was closed! So I had to go to the selfridges branch again, served my the same unhelpful SA who was very hostile when I exchanged my bag yesterday.

She turned out to be the store manager. She said she wanted to do a refund and that she is not happy to do another exchange.

The bag has two scratches on it!! Surely if the bag is sold with a defect you should accept responsibility?? At first she said she cannot see the scratch, so I highlighted it to her using my light torch (I use this to check pupillary reflexes on patients at work). Then she blamed it on me that I scratched it!!! she then tried to get rid of the scratch by rubbing it furiously, and claimed that it had disappeared. I again illuminated the scratch with the light torch. You should have seen her expression I think she was about to blow a fuse!

I have never experience such bad customer service. You should never blame your clients! I was so upset when she said this and she kept pushing me to do a refund. I felt that I should have refunded it and search for a vintage online. She refused to let me wait for another caviar.

I stood my ground and said I'm entitled for a refund. The only other cavair ml was in gold hardware- and it did not suit me, the back pocket of it was maligned and leather around the hole of the chains was squashed.

So at the end I had to stick with the faulty caviar shw….

I feel so defeated. I'm not happy with the standard of quality or the bags or the customer service at chanel. Anyone else had such treatment?

The manager was saying every bag is different and cannot possibly be perfect, that you just have to accept it because it's handmade.

This is BS, if Chanel wants us to accept minor defects and poor quality they shud reduce their prices.

This will be my one and only and last chanel purchase with chanel (I'm open for vintages only).
 
I understand you're slightly disgruntled but why didn't you spend some time carefully looking over the bag in the shop before taking it home?

I've always found SA's encourage you to take a look at the bag before you take it home.

It's a shame if your SA didn't encourage this before you purchased it.
 
Hi ladies,

M new here.. if anyone could point out to me hw much the tax refund is for london. And whether there is a different percentage if u wanna get back in cash or thru credit card. Understand that in paris, they are giving 10.8% for cash and 12% for credit card.
