My heart sings every time I look at it.That woc was the display with a loose stitching I’ve mentioned about. I love how shiny it is, and very soft to touch. It just feels 1000x more luxurious than the dry ones.
I picked a flap because the caviar leather was amazing - shiny and puffy. I was so fixated on the leather that I didn’t notice some really bad flaws, like a slanted base so the bag leaned forward noticeably when I set it down, and fraying on the leather of the straps. At that point it was too late as it was a final exchange. Just be careful that you don’t swap it for one that has worse flaws and don’t miss checking the other parts of the bag.
So true!!! When the SA brought out the woc, and I saw how shiny it is, I immediately said I’ll take it, without inspecting it like I normally would. When I got home I felt so stupid I did not check the woc thoroughly before paying for it, luckily when I unboxed it, no major flaw but just the top is ever so slightly bowed in which I can live with. I even found out it is made in France at home... lol
Omg yes. I saw the woc pic that you posted and it’s def shinier and softer than the one you bought. I was lucky too with my flap and my SA looked for one I was happy with. But when I got the one with ghw I went through 13-15 flaps. And the one shiny one she brought out for me was had a creased bottom and just not symmetrical (super obvious). Luckily I found one that I was happy with, the leather does get shinier with time but not much (not the wet look).

Wow how could you tell that it had loose stitching. I really think that Chanel should check their bags make sure they are good before selling because it’s a luxury brand and so expensiveThanks!

It was around the lower right corner, a stitch was loose and I could see the thread sticking out making a tiny loop. My SA advised not to get it, because once it snags on something, it will come undone. So sad that we have to check for these things, wouldn’t it be nice if the QC does all the checking properly and we could just buy without worrying about quality issues.
Thank you my dear! I see I will pay attention to it when I purchase the next bag. Too many things to inspect when we get a bag lol. It’s not supposed to be like this. I didn’t know Chanel also sells defect products sometimes until I read this forum. I understand their bags are made by hands, sometimes it can’t be perfect but I heard that their quality was way better in the past.

Hi all, just wanna give you an update that I just returned my Chanel bag . The SA kept telling me all caviar leather in collection line such as WOCs, classic flap are the same. She said it’s thicker and more rough. I told her that I know I’m looking for the little more shiny and not too rough one and she said it will become shiny and soft after we use. To be honest I don’t want to be picky but it feels very dry and rough. But what she was saying like for sure next one will be the same. What do you think? Please let me know thank you.

Please let me know thank you.Caviar is leather, and the leather of the skin will differ. Some are more matte, some more dry, some thinner and some thicker. You can wait for one if you’re unhappy with it, however sometimes due to price increase you have to think of what’s worth it. Like bklee said, its expensive and you should not settle.
