Chanel Lambskin - how do I clean it/care for it?

Lamb gets softer and more lustrous with age without any treatment. I wouldn’t wear it in a downpour. If it does get wet, wipe it off immediately. Don’t store in plastic — let it breathe. And, pull the chains inside so they don’t press on the leathrr

No, imo leather doesn't stain easily. I've been caught in the rain and carry my bags to concerts, rodeos, events, etc... never had an issue. I worry that treating them is what causes yellowing, discoloration and other changes.

Hiii does anyone have any advice as to what I can do about these marks I just discovered inside my bag? I’ve had the bag about 4 years now, and I store it with a pillow insert with the chains inside, which I’m now realizing were maybe pressed against the inside of the flap? I’m not too stressed since it’s inside the bag, and I never plan on selling it, but it would be nice to clean if possible! I tried buffing out with a baby wipe and no luck. I also bought the bag via a personal shopper so not sure how that works with taking it into Chanel for cleaning either …

TY!

Hi! I’m terrified to wear my red lambskin. I just know I’ll mess it up 🙄. Have any of you used applegarde or any other waterproof spray on yours? I thought applegarde but I’m scared to use it.
I understand how intimidating lamb bags can be. I am minority here, and I do not recommend you to do what I do to my bags, more so because you are “terrified” of lambskin. I have protected my bags and I do clean them every once in a blue moon 😉😅. Recently I had some color transferred on one, I was able to remove it because I caught it on time, and then I just cleaned it to leave it ready for when she comes out again;).

Like I said, I am minority here but to me, all leathers are different and each one might require more care than the other, JMPO 😇.

That looks like the chain dirt stained the leather interior?. Have you tried leather cleaning it? . If you want to continue having the chain inside, put some paper or insert before placing the chain inside, maybe that would help?. GL

Please take my recommendations with a grain of salt, and use your own judgement. I am not an expert, this is only what I do to mines, still doesn’t mean is the right or wrong way, it’s just what I do☺️. Plenty of ladies do not do anything to their bags and they are happy with theirs:).

Like others here mentioned before, timing is really important when trying to remove color transfer. If you haven’t done it by now, I am not sure anything you do at this point will help. Personally, if it was my handbag, at this point I will send it to a professional. The products I use on mines, I use a rain protector (which many ladies here are against using it). As per the care, I use Cadillac cleaner and conditioner, always being a little more cautious on lambskin (follow instructions and/or watch some videos on ladies that have used these products). To remove color transfer, I have some wipes from a company that someone suggested it once while watching a YouTuber lady. These wipes helped me with the recent incident I had, but once again, they seem to work only if you use them right away. GL

Can you let us know the brand name of the wipes?

The stains on the first pic look a bit like mold. Do you live somewhere with high humidity?

I have a few makeup stains (I think lip liner) on one of my black lambskin WOCs (one small one on the exterior and more on interior). Worth taking to Chanel and asking for it to be spa'ed, or better to just try to DIY remove it at home?
