This make me remember an incident...
I remember when Husband and I were travelling Europe. Venice was one of the places we visited. An afternoon in Venice, we walked into this high end luxurious hotel (heard Elizabeth Taylor and other Hollywood stars were frequent guests there) to check out this hotel and looked at their Xmas decoration. Inside the hotel lobby, there was a huge Xmas tree with lots of luxury goods paper bags laying around the Xmas tree. Husband and I wanted to snap a shot with the Xmas tree and one of the hotel staff came forward to us to offer his assistance. "Click click click" the sound of our camera.
The next moment, another Asian couple also walked into the hotel lobby and from their expression I knew they also wanted to check out/kaypoh this hotel (same as Husband and I)! As they were walking halfway through the hotel lobby and they were stopped by the hotel staff. I overheard the hotel staff told the couple that this hotel was strictly for their hotel guests only and no outside visitors was allowed. Eventually, the couple was told to leave.
I was asking Husband why the hotel staff chased the couple away but allowed us to enter.

Husband replied this, "very simple. Because the hotel staff saw you were carrying a Louis Vuitton bag whereas the couple didn't carry any luxury bag and their attire were simply too casual." Finally, I understood.

Especially in Europe, people always look at you from outside first before looking into your pocket.
