Dont call ahead to munich they are unhelpful on the phone. But do call Harrods, Sloane St london.. if you can provide the exactly color code they will be more likely to even hold the bag for a day for you!

I called the munich store for the new gold Mini and asked if they would be nice and give me a call when it comes in and the SA on the phone told me they would never do so because if they would do this for every costumer they would only be on the phone all day!! :(

I had good experience at Brompton street boutique. My SA was Josh and he was very nice and could hold the items for me so my friend could pick them up for me

For Munich, when I visited their attitudes was lukewarm but Frankfurt was not too much nicer.

That's right, they just ask you to stop by every week.... Only once they mailed me that they had the bag I was asking for, after I complained to the general manager about their attitude. There are two or three really nice SAs in there, and it's always better not to go on a Saturday. Best times: Tuesday or Wednesday morning. If you want to buy in Germany I'd recommend Berlin at the KaDeWe. They are extremely helpful, witty and just down to earth. Nicest customer service I came across was Rue Cambon and Bond Street. Ask for Jesus (he's lovely, of course :D)!

with pearly grey, do you mean this one? (pic borrowed from another tpf member)
I saw this colour last weekend in Small or medium size, so Munich got this one!! Crossing fingers they have one left when you arrive but they get new shipments every Thursday so you should be lucky... and if they don't have the grey anymore, I'm sure you'll get the black jumbo, but I will call my SA tomorrow and write you again

Hi, i will also be going to Munich, in late Jan. If Maryjoe Or anyone can answer: what would their stock be like then? I'm looking for a mini or small (they still have small in Europe?) in a neutral caviar.

Also would it end up cheaper than in the US? Do they do VAT? I bought a LV in south Africa that ended up being a little more even with VAT, than if I had bought it here in the states :/

Yes, germany has VAT. It does end up being cheaper than buying in the states, esp if you count sales tax.
