Chanel in Germany?

So, there are rumors saying no sale this winter. During summer, I was told differently by my SM. Usually, VIP Sale starts few days before Christmas with the official sale starting beginning of Jan (in Germany this can be between Jan 2 - Jan 6).
Hope I can confirm the next days but I haven't received a heads-up on the VIP Sale (which I usually should), so I am not 100% sure.

I am new to buying Chanel bag (before I only bought accessories and shoes). I want to buy a Chanel mini rectangular caviar GHW as I want to wear it crossbody. I've been to Chanel Düsseldorf multiple times and they finally told me that the caviar version will be available only once a year. They wrote my phone number down and I've got the phone number of the SA in order to contact her regarding the mini. I don't feel like they will really contact me when the bag is in store to be honest.
I saw some minis second hand with invoices from March and November. My question is; Does the Mini really come only once a year? Is this only for Germany? Could I be more lucky in France, the UK, Netherlands?

well, Minis don't come only once a year - they normally come for Spring/Summer Act II (around March, April), Fall Act I (around July, August) and Cruise (around November/December)... But it can be really hard to get one. since Minis are in high demand. And it depends on what kind of leather Chanel is releasing - at the moment it seems that Chanel will release more often Minis in lambskin, but that doesn't mean that there won't be caviar Minis anymore... the best is really to contact a SA really often when the above mentioned collections are about to hit the boutiques... and this is the same for the other european countries, not only Germany... the collections are released at the same time in Europe (France probably a few days earlier)
And not to forget: it totally depends on what a boutique orders... but maybe if you got a good SA she can try to get you a Mini from another boutique if your local one didn't order the combo you want

I dont want to crush your hopes but I also tried to get a mini from Düsseldorf and I tried for 3 years - No luck. I know from VIP friends that they HAD THEM but whenever I asked called and went there in person, they said they didnt get any at all. They were better to work with when I looked for a woc or a medium. For a mini, i gave up and went to France instead. If you are close the border, you may wanna try and look in other cities/countries - i think DD is so highly frequented by vips, as a first time buyer it can be very difficult. Good luck!!
A tad bit late but in my location VIP Sale is already happening, just going today. Hope they can let me know about the official sale date but would assume somewhen next week.
So, I was told January 3rd but with Chanel you never know (and this is just my location. The various boutiques within Germany differ on their Sale dates). Just to let you know the selection was already - say, disappointing. As noted, it's only fall/winter 2017 and there were very few shoes and costume jewelry to choose from (3 pairs of shoes in my size, 2 necklaces, 3 bracelets, 5 brooches and 1 pair of earrings of which I picked the latter and one brooch). Same for RTW (8 pieces overall in my size, no jackets). After pre-sale, selection might be even lower but Munich usually receives contingents from other boutiques, so there might be some new pieces popping up when the official sale starts. hmm.......hopefully there are some interesting pieces left! I am in Hamburg, usually the sale RTW are quite limited, so it sounds like this year might be even more limited!

I am only considering a skirt and have it on hold until tomorrow but of course stumbled upon Cruise RTW pieces I like...
That sounds bad. I was there two days before Christmas and they showed me a mini in pink classic and a black chevon one. I thought there may be a chance to get my hands on a classic mini in black one time. As I am living only a few minutes away I have no problem to ask for a mini on a frequent basis. I plan to visit France and UK, too. Hope to be lucky there. Thank you for your advice!

oh no..... I have the smallest size too, ok not going in with high hope then! Congrats on your skirt if you decided to keep it and the cruise RTW pieces! I will probably try brooches, do they have nice ones on sale?
