I feel or would be so helpful to have a pics only (no chat) thread for each new collection. It would enable you to see all the new items without scrolling through pages of chat. Does anyone else agree?
(p.s. I love 'chat'...I'm just desperate to see what's coming in the next collection and don't always have time to scroll through 70 pages)

Picture only threads are definitely enjoyable!
However the mods would have to be very strict and members would have to ALWAYS follow rules! Otherwise it will quickly morph into a discussion thread…

I do see some merit in your suggestion. It’s a pain to scroll through all the info. But as someone who wants info on less popular items (ex boy bag or new seasonal bag) I would never get any intel unless I have some way of asking for info. A pics only thread wouldn’t work for me. I don‘t have Chanel in my state & this forum is my only source of info.

Hmmm...maybe a no chatting info thread AND a discussion thread could work?
I agree with you. Right now I use the “bookmark” function for the posts with the pictures (if not saving them onto my phone). Maybe a sticky like “xx collection - pics only” similar to the reference library could work well.
edit: there is actually a thread like that in the ref library but I only saw 1 thread titled “Chanel by Season 11C 2011 CRUISE”

I would ask your SA. I always send mine pictures of what I want to give them the heads up. Then I follow up with them regularly to see if they know when something is expected to come in or if preorder is an option. Lately I’ve had a much harder time doing this with my Chanel stand alone boutique and have had much greater success with my SAs from Neiman and Nordstrom. Good luck!
I had one SA at a Saks say she could reserve with deposit. Every other Saks SA told me no reserve. Should I go with the deposit? I’ve heard sometimes the people with deposits get their stuff essentially last but I’m not sure!
If you’re a serious buyer then I would absolutely put down a deposit or preorder (prepay the total up front) I have done both many times in order to secure what I want. Especially with Chanel I noticed that if I don’t put in the effort neither will the SAs.
I found it so weird because once I told her ok and asked her what info she needs She stopped responding… she’s tbh not the best SA so I was really disappointed no other SA offering haha. I may just go in Friday and secure IRL so she can’t ignore me. LOL
If she’s not a great SA or you’re lacking a connection it’s better to find another one that works for you. If I don’t have a great connection with a SA I move on. They won’t work as hard to secure what you want. You want to find a SA that wants to help you. I like to give them three chances then I move on. If they can’t secure what I’m looking for after three tries it’s not going to work out lol.
