Personally I would return it since I'm a little bit OCD but it depends how much you want the bag.
I decided to send it for repair. Fingers crossed it will come back looking brand new >.<
So disappointing, right?! I would say, if you absolutely LOVE it, its worth it. I’m hoping and assuming it will be a really easy fix, because just the threadings torn. Everything else looks perfect, not even a scratch where thread popped. Completely annoying and inconvenient to send it in right after receiving, so if anything else than love, skip the drama return.![]()
Thank you so much for your input

That's so disappointing. I went through the same thing with a bag I had just purchased as well, and was also told the same thing (sold out everywhere and there was no way I would get another one). I decided to wait until the end of the return period in case one popped up, and if one didn't, I was considering getting it repaired, but honestly the thought of having to send a brand new bag to repair just irked me. Idk how long your return period is, but maybe you could try waiting just in case?
I completely understand where you are coming from. My head was saying return the bag but my heart was saying to get it repaired. I decided to go with my heart.
As the bag was within the 28 day return period, my SA did try to see if she could get me another one to exchange but she said it was just not possible at all. She has also expedited the repair so hopefully I will get it back very soon and be able to update you guys on the repair experience in case any one else goes through this.
Sorry to hear about this situation. I hope you can find a replacement. You’d never know one might magically appear again. Otherwise you could get them to fix it?
My SA did try and locate a replacement, however it was just simply not possible as they are completely sold out and they would not be receiving any more. When I was in the boutique yesterday arranging the repair, I overhead a lady asking an SA why it was so difficult to get a bag these days, I really feel that Social Media has had a huge impact on how these luxury houses operate and bags seem to fly off the shelf before they even hit the stores. The bag is now being sent back to Paris so hopefully it will come back looking brand new.
I had a popped stitch on my new Chanel small black 19 when I purchased it last year. There was no stock to exchange it for so I opted to send it in for repair instead of returning it. They did a great job and repaired it pretty quickly. I’ve been using it since and have had no further issues. If you love this gray mini and all it needs is a repaired stitch then just get it repaired. I tried to find this gray mini and it is sold out every where in the US so it is hard to replace if you like this particular shade combo (and the price since likely it will go up by the time a similar color is released again).
Thank you so much for sharing your repair experience

This 100%.
I know it's disappointing for new, but if it's the one you love and can't exchange then repair it. Stitches are a common and easy fix. Good luck!
Thank you so much
