Hello Chanel lovers.. Curious on what the masses will select.
I have the option of 2 small CF - white Grained calfskin with light gold hardware, and black Grained Calfskin with gold hardware.
Which would you pick?

Is this your first Chanel ? If yes, take the black one. Easier to maintain. Even caviar, light color still prone to color transfer. If not your first, you have to see which color will suitable for you. But the most important thing is follow your heart. Good luck on deciding.
For me, I’ll get the white mainly because I have so many black Chanel bags. White looks so crisp! Which one do you like more?

I do have a small seasonal flap in lambskin black and gold. This will be my 1st CF.
The black and gold sings to me.
But the white would have easily won me over if the gold was the old bright yellow gold VS the current champagne gold. I find the light gold looks more silvery on the white and different lighting.
Decision anxiety is real
I am very drawn to the gold on the black. And I have always thought my 1st Chanel CF will always be black and gold
*they didn't have any last week when I asked*I can't deny I am tempted by the white bc it's rare to find and I will likely want a white Chanel in the future too? but not in love enough with the light gold hardware, it looks silvery.
Which Chanel colour would be your go to? Do you find whites harder to maintain, if you have any?
Hi: the white with pink fluffy cc version was $3200 USD so I imagine price would be the same.
It depends where you live. If somewhere where the sun shines, then the white one. Otherwise the black one.
For longevity I’d go for black. I have a white boy bag and it didn’t age well. All my black bags are in pristine condition.
I have both a black CF GHW and white with LGHW. I get so many compliments with the white since it's rare and so beautiful in the Spring/Summer months.
Since the white is not exactly the hardware you like, I would get the black caviar CF and wait for the perfect white. They always release white in the future, so there will be many opportunities to snag one.
The black and gold is classic but the white with champagne hardware is more rarely seen. I agree it depends on where you live and how you dress as to which one goes more - white definitely goes well with a sunny Climate. I also personally think the white looks so much more modern and youthful with champagne hardware compared to the bright yellow gold.
White caviar has been released a few times in recent years but there was a point where it was very hard to find and who knows what future collections will be like. Black will always be available.
White is not hard to maintain in caviar. Just avoid wearing with dark fabrics prone to colour transfer (particularly jeans) and spot clean any marks with a leather cleaner after use.
That is an interesting way to look at it. I'd say we're mostly sunny except winter.

You're right! I definitely am not 100% sold on the white. Just a case of what if I regret it. Black is always around, but not the white. Fomo-ING here
Yes! I think the white with LGH is definitely more modern, with the black being an undeniable classic.
I do wear mostly darker coloured clothes, and plenty of jeans.
Weather wise.. We can have 4 seasons in a day here

Reading this, I think you answered your own question . Whenever you find a “but” as minimal as it could be, imho that is a sign.

My caviar mini 22 arrived today. I love the matte hardware, and the caviar feels sturdy. I don't love it though as much as I expected too or even close to how much I love my small 22s. I especially didn't like it on the crook of the arm, it was a bit stiff and not as slouchy as I had envisioned. I tend to gravitate to lambskin and have very few caviar bags. It is a beautiful bag, but I recently added a So Black Mini and am planning to purchase the 22K printed calf 22 w shw....making it hard to keep something I don't love, so I am returning it. Thought I'd share photos in case anyone is thinking about it...I think if I didn't have so many other black handbags I might have felt different. It's a cute bag even though it might not be for me atm!
