I am really only a proponent of buying a piece that you are 100% happy with. That being said, I think grey is just as if not more versatile than black and is a great option if you can't get your hands on a black one. It can be dressed up or down just as much as black can. If you really want a black, hold out for it and you'll eventually find one though!

I think it’s really pretty and it should go with the same clothes as the black. The pearl crush is also such a useful bag since it can be adjusted (i just tried it on over the weekend!).
I think though don’t settle because if your heart is really set on the black then you’ll probably still want that one if you get the grey! Not sure how hard it’ll be to get the black where you’re based (assuming you’re in the US?). I haven’t seen any black pearl crushes in the UK at all

Pearl crush minis will come in black, white, blue, beige, pink, dark gray, and green (this one I’m not sure about). Mini top handles will come in black, gray, blue, but there might be other colors as well.

I personally love the gray pearl crush, however, whenever I settle, it doesn't seem to work. I end up pining over what I originally wanted and either regret the purchase or end up with both lol. FWIW, my gray 19 w reverse hardware is a similar shade to this, and it can be a bit tricky to style (perhaps because it's a flat gray) but find it works great with blues and other grays.
Whenever I'm on a fence about a color, I try to consider what I'd wear it with and is it redundant with other options in my collection...and if I purchase it with any doubt I bring it to my closet & try to find a handful of options I'd wear with it. If the gray pearl crush doesn't fill the gap that the black pearl crush was going to fill for you then I'd pass. You could also consider getting a black pearl crush WOC or vanity which "might" be easier to hunt down....while I find the vanity holds more than a WOC, the strap on most vanities work for me at 5'1", however most WOCs are way too long so I personally lean in that direction, but your circumstances and purpose may be different! I probably have too many black bags but always seem to find a way to justify another one lol!

got a black one, so rare in U.S, my fiancé just got it for me, they barely have anything new from the collection, all sold out 
I am not a fan of black chanel wording on the new 22 style even though it’s caviar. My preference is always black and gold hardware. Super happy when my SA allocated one for me, as I thought 23K only come in that caviar version.
