Yes I Did :smile: But .... I have been treated very badly and It was the worst experience I have ever had in my life. I was close to leave the store without the bag (because in the end they did a favour to me) with tears in my eyes. I am feeling sad now even though I have got a bag. I didn't know that Chanel won't sell you a bag if in the last year you returned 2 items. Last year I returned a rectangular mini with glitter. When I got home I realised that it is not for me so I returned it. Then in March I bought a square mini which turned out to be defective. Chanel sent it off to their leather surgeons tried get an opinio and eventually Chanel refunded money to me because the defect couldn't be fixed.

Initially the sale lady was very nice to me and I understand it wasn't her fault. But she told me I am not allowed to shop Chanel again!!! Maybe in a years time because I bought a bag in less than 6 months ago. so i asked why I cannot shop? Is it because I returned one bag then another defective bag? She didn't want to tell me but it was obvious. I stayed strong and I explained what happened in the last year and also that i wasn't aware of this policy. Then she said I can come back in 2 weeks time! (????) this didn't make sense therefore I told her That the bag will be sold out and she just said that I cannot shop anytime soon. I asked for a manager, he didn't come out. The lady spoke to someone on the back about my case. She came out saying they will do exemption today and sell it to me... I felt horrible and it happened in front of so many people. I don't think I will buy Chanel again from the store, only pre loved route in the future. It was th worst experience ever :sad:
I am sorry about a rant. When I get home I will do a little unboxing. The colour is very vibrant and rich. I would say it is more pink than red.
That does NOT spund like a nice experience :-/ but glad you got the bag, cant wait to see it!

So sad to hear this. Is this coming from a US store, because this is not going to fly with me. I would kindly ask the SA to show me the store policy in writing.

Wanted to share a quick picture of the plain black caviar medium size vanity case from this season. I was so excited about this color and size because it has been on my wishlist for months and months! However, I found the caviar leather to be quite dull and soft (in my opinion) and I didn't love it. Considering the price increase, the unexpected sales tax on the purchase, and the fact that I wasn't 100% in love with it, I decided to send it back :sad:

Normally I wouldn't post a picture of a bag that I've decided to return, but hopefully this will help anyone who is curious about the leather on the plain (non-unicorn) vanity cases this season.

Gosh that's terrible! It's definitely not your fault for returning a defective bag, therefore that policy should be voided considering it wasn't your fault. Lol, I once returned a defective bag (two of the quilts had bad dents as though it had been hit by something), and my NM SA said "I'm sure one of my other customers will appreciate it" - wow! Funny how they make it your issue. Anyway, I'm glad you managed to purchase the bag today, even though it wasn't the best buying experience.
 
✋✋ I’m located in Texas so this last weekend I was trying to order a bag in this collection from Bergdorf Goodman (there’s no BG store in the whole Texas) but the SA said since BG and Neiman Marcus (based in Texas) are the “same company” it still has to charge for sales tax...then I also try to ask if the bag can be sent as “gift” to avoid the sales tax (I know many people can do that with their SA), at first the SA say yes but eventually when he tried to process my order their BG shipping department just decline and insist I have to pay sales tax no matter what....sigh....‍

From my understanding, the local presence rules on sales tax have changed.
 
Has anyone else suddenly needed to pay sales tax on an out of state purchase from Saks? I purchased a bag from this collection from Saks today and was charged sales tax despite the fact that there are no physical Saks stores in my state. Really confused now :eek:

I know I’m late replying but the local presence laws changed around sales tax. Most stores now require sales tax unless you live in a state that doesn’t have it.

That's too bad, it looks nice in the picture. I wonder how different the leather is to the unicorn version? Is this black grained lamb?
 
When is the next time that new mini rectangular colors will be available? I can never remember how the seasons are in regards to mini rectangulars. I seem to recall someone who spoke to an SA that said that there would be a red in the next "mini rectangular season"?

I remember mentioning a true red mini for the upcoming Cruise collection, available from November.
