I've not started to wear my leather ones yet. But I've read on here the canvas ones sometimes lasting only one season given the nature of the materials.

But just a general comment about how long a shoe lasts, for my own observation If I wear the same shoes as my running errands shoe, within about 3 months it starts to look "beat up" , as in a very obvious worn look...and I'm very careful with my shoes. It's because I wear it everywhere that required walking around not from car to sit down type of instances.

Thank you! I don't think I would use these as my everyday errand shoes. Otherwise for me I could not justify the price for a shoe that will look beat up in 3 months. I will probably wear them as my weekend shoes.

I only wear them as my weekend shoes and let my classic ballerinas take the beating for work everyday, so the leather and suede espies do last a few years. Of course in the lighter colours they don't look as new and spiffy clean as before but still presentable. Depends on how 'new' you like your shoes to look.

Thank you! So do you feel that the ballerinas are more durable then?

Has anyone seen any espadrilles in the UK boutiques apart from the black with lots of little white CCs all over them?

New stock keeps trickling through but it's for those on waiting lists or those who get lucky. 2 different personal shoppers had the khaki, red and baby pink but the mark up on the pink is shocking!

No worries! For me, the ballerinas are not more durable because I wear each pair so much that they always get more scuffed and beat up than the espies.

Has anyone protected their espys with a spray? I just got the beige/black leather ones and I'm a little nervous about getting them dirty!

Yes I protected my black leather ones with Collonil Waterstop spray.

I used Collonil on mine too - hasn't stopped my white/black leather from getting dirty and/or getting some denim transfer on the back, arghh!!! Can anyone recommend a good lambskin cleaner??

Has anyone bought anything from Personal shoppers on Instagram?

I can vouch for nisiscloset, she's lovely to work with!
