Well I just took a chance & ordered the leather espadrilles! I chatted with them on Instagram & they seem ok, but you never know. You check out with Paypal, so there is buyer protection. They said they'd ship tomorrow. I'll post as soon as I get them!

Congrats! 👏👏👏 Keep me posted! What size did you ordered?

Has anyone bought from this site? Will it be legit? http://baleneny.bigcartel.com/product/chanel-espadrilles

Knowing how much these shoes cost, the fact that they sell out at full price and the threads about espadrilles have HUGE numbers of views, how could a person (this website is mainly for artists to sell on, so it's individuals) have many of these in many sizes at less than the price of new shoes? It just doesn't add up.

I agree. It was late & I had just had oral surgery & clicked on BUY! I am a nincompoop.

At least I do have buyer protection from Paypal. Hanging my head in shame.

Hey guys, I've found out some info! Because I had enough of the snooty-ness of most of the SA's in London, I emailed loads of SA's in the USA and found this out:
For the cruise collection, these colours are available: white leather with black fabric toe, cream leather with black fabric toe, black leather with black fabric toe, dark blue fabric with black fabric toe, and white fabric with black fabric toe. (All double sole I think)
As for sizing, I was told that they come up slightly large this season, so if you are a true full size e.g 40, you don't need to size down but if you are a half size e.g 39.5 size down to 39. But this might be completely wrong so feel free to correct me! :smile1: I've ordered a cream pair so I'm sure I'll find out soon and I'll let you guys know x

I was so annoyed and fed up by them I eventually caved and found a personal shopper. Turned out to not be as expensive as I feared haha. Do you think the shipping from the USA going to be worth it? x

I ordered the 39...I have the canvas ones in 39 too, so hoping these will fit as well. Sure hope they are legit, but we'll see.

I read the other posts but since it's all done I can only do one thing and it's to support you! So my best wishes and get well soon. You don't have nothing to be ashamed, trusting in someone is priceless, if someone takes advantage of that is their shame and karma, not yours, so head up and have certainty that everything is and will be ok in the end ;) Hugs!

Not sure if this helps anybody but thought I post the size and fit info as well.

I am a true US 8.5 (normal width), 39.5 for almost all designer shoes (Jimmy Choo, Valentino, Louboutin and Chanel). For these espadrilles I took a size 40 for the leather (single sole) and a size 39 for the canvas (double sole). They are both purchased last week from Saks, I didn't check the season number but I assume they are the current season (the canvas double sole for sure is the new season).

For the leather single sole - I also want to mention that I tried the 39 and 41, the 39 opening was so narrow that I could not even get my feet in. It is also a little snug for the 40, took some effort to put my feet in but once in they are fine. I felt that 40 is the best fit in terms of length. 41 was easy to get the feet in but once in my feet were kinda swimming in them with gaps all over the place (front and sides). So I settled on the 40 and I think the leather will stretch overtime.

For the canvas double sole - Pretty much the opposite of the leather single sole, I tried the 40 right off the bet and it fits like the 41 in leather single sole. So I took the next size down 39 and it fits like the 40 in leather single sole.

I do want to mention that the double sole is my new favorite!! It definately feels a lot more "cushion-y" then the single sole and it gives you a little bit more height. I am now thinking if I should get the leather in double sole as well (if I can ever locate them in my size).

Thank you so much for your kind words...you are so sweet! Thinking positive thoughts!

I do feel like an idiot, but I know that Paypal does not release funds to the seller until the buyer receives them and is satisfied. IF I get them, I will have them authenticated. If not, I can open a case through Paypal.

Sigh...no more late-night, medication-influenced shopping for me!

Don't feel like that, you purchased something and that's it. You can either suffer it or enjoy it, so better to enjoy it. In the end you can open a paypal claim and that's it, trouble fixed.

I love internet but it's like an open door to me to buy anything I want and afford LOL so the lesson to learn here is to not to be reactive and allow time to think before buying something, for your peace of mind and for your wallet LOL

Hugs!!!

You are so right! It will all work out. Funny thing is that I have never purchased Chanel from anyplace other than a Chanel boutique or a department store & SWORE I never would buy from anyplace else. It's all the dentist's fault! LOL!

Please don't feel bad for falling for what looks to be something not ethical. Too many websites look like they are selling the real thing, and you did just have surgery. You should not feel shame. You can get your money back from paypal by filing a case once they arrive and you see they are not authentic. They will freeze the seller's account until it's resolved, and if the seller doesn't have any money in the account (they usually withdraw it after each sale), then paypal has to pay you themselves and go after the seller. Also, if you used a credit card with paypal, you have recourse through your credit card. You shouldn't feel bad for something someone else set up; you just fell for it. You're not a nincompoop, just someone took advantage of you. Hugs and I hope you feel better soon from your surgery.

Thank you, tutushopper. I think I feel so badly because I am usually so overly cautious and suspicious! Ah well...it will be fine. It could have been worse and much more expensive! My midnight shopping sprees are officially over.
