Chanel Coco Cabas (PatentLeather or Vinyl)

If you ladies remember what Kate Moss has it was a hit in town, do you know how to tell the difference between a patent leather and vinyl??

Pls help, is there 2 diff types to the Chanel Coco Cabas (the one with the Big logo in front) and a round chanel chain logo hanging?

2 different types. The baby cabas w/ the medallion and the Coco Cabas w/ the large CCs in the front.
Not sure what Kate Moss was wearing, but if it had the big CCs, the bag is vinyl.

I believe they never did patent leather for cabas. So the bag you are interested in would be vinyl.

^^ agree, this bag ONLY came in the pebbled grain leather or the vinyl, NO patent leather

The bag in the photo and the one Kate carried are both the same bag. It is vinyl, not patent leather. The original release of the bag had 2 sizes, large and XL and it came in vinyl, satin and leather. It was re-released in smaller sizes, with a quilted bottom and came in leather (though, there were some sport versions in vinyl, I believe). It was yet again released in jersey, satin and gradient vinyl (called the Melrose Cabas) but nothing slated for the upcoming F/W season. HTH
