Agree. I have both small CF (purchased last year) and minis and even though I have not even used my small CF at all, I just couldn’t let it go. It is such a timeless classic piece that I need to have in my collection. I use my minis more though.Small can’t be replaced by the mini. Both bags are very different so you’re wrong.
It’s been easier since after the major price increases early last year. If you check the stock thread there have been a few posted pretty consistently. How hard is it to come by a small classic flap these days? TIA![]()
So hard! Even the medium is nowhere around my area. How hard is it to come by a small classic flap these days? TIA![]()
Heres one that was posted yesterday:How hard is it to come by a small classic flap these days? TIA![]()
They are not the same size. I’ve tried on small and medium flaps. There’s not a whole lot of difference, there is some difference in the entire sizePerhaps in terms of what fits inside they’re comparable and that’s what they’re referring to.
However, I would agree that they’re different bags. I felt the mini didn’t look right on me and I the small fit my frame. The mini just looks so tiny! I also liked how the small’s chain could be adjusted for different looks. I suppose you could adjust with the mini, but you’d need to use a ribbon or a chain fastener and I didn’t like that.
That being said, I’m noticing that I like hand carry these days (so I make the small’s chain short) and I might need a top handle bag hehe![]()
I have a small classic flap I purchased on October and haven’t used it yet. I’m planning on it though. It is timeless.Agree. What are you looking for? I was just at the Chanel store in Seattle and there were a ton of medium classic flaps in all different colors. There were at least 3 in the calfskin black and gold. Lmk if you want a contact for the Seattle boutique.Medium still searching for my perfect M/L. It’s been quite a journey …
i went through the exact same decision process on the caviar black cf shw! it was hard but i’m glad i bought the small. i’m 5’2 and having the ability to wear crossbody with certain outfits made the final decision. the medium just doesn’t work crossbody at any height unless you are small like us and wear it in the back. the small only works crossbody on shorter girls…imo. i love my small cf and i’m getting another in white with light gold hardware. hope this helps.Hi friends!
I need your opinion if you’re willing. I finally sourced my dream bag: Chanel classic flap in caviar - black and silver hardware.
My biggest challenge is deciding on size. My SA is amazing and sourced me a perfect small, but the medium is a little lopsided so they’re working on sourcing another.
In the meantime, left is a small, right is medium. Which looks better? And if you have these sizes, which do you prefer and why?
Thank you!!

I’ve been trying to get my hand on a cf in small caviar for ages. I just purchased one preloved. The flap on the sides doesn’t seem straight and there seems to be a gap at the bottom. Is this normal or do you think I should sent it back. I’ve attached a few photos, can someone please help me. Thank you xx
