Chanel at Costco

It's gone. I'm shocked that Costco is an authorized Chanel retailer, but I would have purchased it. Not that I need more Chanel bags.

They are not. It is a grey market product.

IMO the where (you get something) is way less important than the what (you’re getting). Please also keep in mind that in the US it is illegal to sell counterfeits. I don’t believe Costco would risk its corporate reputation over a few handbags.

And on the matter of “authorized resellers” I’m not aware there is such a thing. There are authorized retailers (such as SFA, NM, Bergdorf Goodman, Harrodsburg, Selfridges, Le Bon Marche) and there are resellers who have better reputations for authenticity than others- but I don’t think Chanel has formally authorized any entity as a reseller of Chanel bags or other products.

Costco has carried authentic designer bags/items in strategic locations/markets in the USA from time to time, it's been discussed here on the forum in the past.

Wow. Lol. I don’t have a membership, since there is none by me. But Chanel at Cosco?!? Seems pretty random and strange and a joke especially if they are limiting purchases.

It is random, but it happens from time to time (though I've never seen it listed online, only know about it occasionally popping up in a few locations). Wondering when this piece was actually sold online. Was it recent?

Only saw the out of stock item today but I don't usually browse handbags on Costco so no idea when it was sold..

I have heard Costco sold Chanel bags before, so I chatted with their customer service maybe just 2 weeks ago, and after they inquired manager they told me they don’t sell Chanel bags. Lies

I've actually seen a chanel j12 at my Costco in ann arbor michigan. I was so shocked. This was Feb 2020. Never saw a bag though.

this is a photo from 2018 that my assistant sent me when I had her do a Costco run. Yes, it’s Chanel, Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Longchamp etc.. Chanel went from super-accessible-available to I’m-too-good-for-you-beg-for-it-before-I-sell-you-one business model really quick.
