The only thing that looked weird to me was the 1999. price tag verse 3100. in Boutique!
I think the photo was from a few years ago when retail price was still low $2k
Either way, i wish i would give Costco 2k - thats like ordering kobe beef from Burger King....no disrespect to the home of the whopper

I thought this was the new pic from the grand opening of the NY store? I personally thought that the flap looked like satin or some sort of jersey and not leather...not sure tho? That might explain the price???

You're probably right. I saw $1999 and just automatically assumed that it was an old photo
So it seems like Costco puts Chanel bags there for Grand Opening only? Seems like thats the only time there are sightings...
OMG, this is the most ridiculous thread I've read to date! Of course Costco has Lux goods. Though I haven't seen any purses that I would buy from the store (seems geared towards a much older audience), They have Cartier watches, maybe not the highest range tvs, but mid to high, you can get GREAT electronic up to date gear, even bmws or mercedes(though I haven't seen a ferrari, though that wouldn't surprise me either). Why not Chanel/LV purses? Costco seems to be committed to selling it's customers what they want and they are open to suggestions (God, I sound like I work there). I love Costco, it was the first stop my husband and I made on our recent trip to Maui.
If you asked me as a child what my favorite stores were, I'd say Imagnin, Nordstroms, and Costco (though it may have been Price Club at the time).
Come to think about it I've seen premium brand denim lately: seven for all mankind, and true religion. I find it hard to buy clothes without trying them on, but Costco must have the best return policy (although Nordys is great too) a little bit of a hassle but worth it if you find something.

Chanel, at Costco? Huh? Never seen it or heard they sold Chanel but not very surprising I guess. IF they do, I'm sure and confident it's real and authentic. My sister in law is a DM at Costco and they have exclusive and special contracts with many fine designers. Most high value/ high fashion items sold by Costco is usually done online via their website. I have seen an original Picaso painting gone on sale at Costco, it wouldn't surprise me if a Chanel watch would be sold there too. Interesting.
