Thanks for sharing this! What size is your bag? Not sure if it's necessary to get an insert for my mini.

I've never had an insert, do people like it to match perfectly? I have black and I was thinking if I should match or get a fun color. I was wondering why they have sooo many color options :biggrin:

Of corse! Your welcome! It’s a medium. All the inserts that I have match because 2 are black, cream and dark brown. It’s totally up to you if you like matchy matchy or not. In this case they did not have the color to match so I went with the light one. I like it. It doesn’t bother me and I’m the only one that really sees it. :smile:

I tried it in white and im 172. I think its slightly big to be an everyday bag. I recommend the medium size. Only go for large if you’re using it as a duffle replacement handcarry when traveling

What do you guys think about the caviar and monochrome letters version from 23K? Personally I think I still prefer the shiny calfskin and metal letters. Has anyone seen any in real life yet? The mini 22 is small enough to be an evening bag but the monochrome letters make it look like it is only for daytime??

It’s gorgeous in person! Honestly I never considered adding a 22 to my collection and I did NOT need another black bag… but I was able to preview the 23k collection this week and couldn’t put it down. I thought the caviar would be stiff, but it is soft and supple. I do not have a preference on the logo hardware, but the tonal letters are more understated. I have some “so black” pieces and wear them day and night, really just personal preference. I decided on the small size because it comes with the pouch and the closure/straps seemed less fussy. Plus prices are only going up, figured it’s better to start with the more expensive one now

That's a beautiful bag! Do you think the caviar will be more durable with some of the peeling issues some people have had where the strap rubs at the top of the bag?

Caviar is generally considered more hard wearing. However, the edgewear along the drawstring may just be a consequence of the construction. Based on my research, it looks like they started offering caviar late last year? Unfortunately, most of the reviews I found were first impressions or unboxings. There are plenty for the calfskin version and the issues seem inconsistent—some are terrible, others are just expected wear. At the end of the day it’s a drawstring bag… only so much rubbing (coated) leather is going to handle.

Unless you plan to resell (which I don’t), the peeling issue doesn’t affect functionality and would really only be noticeable by me. So I’m going to use the heck out of it and bring it to my SA if there are major issues. I’m more concerned the black letters will chip, but my SA said they can fix that issue. Hoping I don’t need to find out if that’s true.

Anyone else have a previous collection caviar?

I have the small metallic blue from last year that has blue logo and it hasn’t chipped. None of my so black hardware had chipped either.
