I finally join the club.. Not easy to find 22 in black.. At first I don’t like 22 style, but now I am in love..

What does everyone think of the White 22 with the black logo? I noticed that it’s back for 23a, but can’t decide between the White bag with black “Chanel” logo, or stick to a classic black 22. If you have a white 22, any issues with color transfer?

Thought I would do an update of my 22 bag since July. it is a medium black with SHW
I love it alot and have no regrets buying it. I have used this for office, for grocery shopping, for weekend getaways. I have even carried it in the rain (which poured down unexpectedly).
I have not used it as a garbage bag yet lol
Otherwise, I have been carrying it non stop for the first month and it is still in heavy rotation though not daily anymore but about once a week as I have a rotation with other bags
I have noticed the wear in one area where the chain rubs against the underneath at one of the opening areas, which is a known "issue".
Does it bother me ? No -because it is not going to break anything structurally and it is something I have expected (worse) to happen.
Otherwise nothing to report as the other areas are fine. Just to note in these pics, I have used zoomed in view and to put everything in context, these close up photos are enlarged when compared to the real size of the areas shown. so even the wear at that one area it is not noticeable when worn and no one is going to come so close to flip over my bag to look underneath when I wear the bag out an about, or look at it with a magnifying glass
The corners so far are free of wear I have taken a picture of one of the corners to show nothing is wrong as an example
The leather (bonded or not) is acceptable to me as a trendy bag. It also has softened a bit over time and I love it even more. I have bought this for trend / functionality, and it has served both of these key purposes fully.
Hope this update helps anyone who is deciding on the 22.

Its been 10 months now since I first purchased this last year, I know some of you have asked for the “wear and tear”
I have done a thorough check, no wear in the corners and the leather (bonded or not) on the bag itself when use would touch my clothes or body is showing no rubbing or any signs of fading or worn off.
I have also inspected the parts underneath where the chain would rub against, I dont think I have experienced any issue outside the expected wear shown before in my earlier posts in this thread, on the underneath where the chain touches, and I dont see the rubbing of the inner/underneath part where the chain touchs have gone any worse. I have placed a pen tip to show you as size reference.
I am still very happy with this purchase and it is my most used and carefree Chanel bag, besides my 2.55 reissue 227 of course.
I still love my mini CF and 19 but this 22 bag has been on a very heavy or frequent rotation and it is a grab and go, without me having to downsize any thing. it suits many situations (work travel/ office/ gym/ grocery shopping and I dont baby it at all) I can fit my iPad Pro in it to go to work. I can put in some groceries after shopping at the supermarket. I also love the fact that you can wear it with the logo hidden on the opposite side or when tired I can hold/hug it like a pillow/ clutch hah while sitting down in the car or train.
Below are some pics and I will capture the expected wear underneath where the chain touches. You can compare to my earlier pics too. So far it seems to have affected one of the two chains only as there other side underneath I cannot find wear. Other than that the bag is still shinning in natural light and to me looks like new
despite such frequent use. The wear underneath we where the Cajun touches, I cannot see it anyways when the bag is displayed / resting or when used unless I inspect it very closely with zoomed in lens.

Have had my small metallic blue from
22A for almost a year now and have been using it regularly. I recently brought it to my trip to Egypt and I am happy to say that it survived such harsh use. I am hoping to get a medium size when the right one comes but oh my, the price has gone up so much!

Hello! Does anyone have a denim 22? How is it holding up? Does the denim transfer to light colored clothing? Anything helps as I'm really considering the new one from 23A. Many thanks!

As a kid I used a drawstring bag for everything from baseball to school until the strings used to fall off. Early sports habits made it so it became hard to let go of "lucky" bags, gloves etc even if they were worn out. Always wished for something durable with the same function. Years later in Yankee navy blue and chains in place of strings, get to sling my favorite type of bag around the city.
