I like the leather after using it since it first came out. I think it made the bag looks more vintage. The leather won't be very smooth, it has wrinkles and looks aged but it is still buttery. I don't notice any quality issue.

I would've agreed with you if I didn't felt a buttery supple 22 bag before that resemble all the quality of the vintage pieces that both my mom and I own and they never wrinkle like that. I'm not saying it's a quality issue, but definitely a stark variance.

There are! Pics have been shared from members in this thread of their hot pink, emerald green, burgundy, navy, etc. . . I juts saw a cool pink tweed as well.
Hopefully more will share them in the library so pics are super easy to find.

Can someone please help..
I'm really torn about the 22K 22 bag. I really want the Black and ghw combo in small but it looks like it's only coming out in shiny calfskin version. The regular calfskin version is coming out in Black and SHW but I don't really love shw. I'm not sure about what I should do and if I should give up the leather I want for the ghw.
Does anyone know if the Shiny calfskin version is sturdier or if it will scratch less or show other marks less than the regular calfskin version? Thanks in advance!

I would advise you to not settle for the bag that you are not enthusiastic about. My past experiences with settling for bags is I always regret making those purchases. So I'd say wait or check out other stores if they have the combination that you like.

No issues so far for my 22 and I have been using it non-stop for a month now, i really think I have got one from the good batches and being lucky.
Also love the fact it has no structure and a truly carefree bag which gives the smart-casual look, very different to the classic flaps

I just got this 22S rose clair small 22! It feels buttery soft, can't see any sort of cracking or peeling thus far but will report back if I do. I am 5'2 and feel this is a perfect size for my every day needs. I love how casual this bag is and feel more comfortable taking it around in public compared to my classic flaps. The color is suprisingly wearable and I like that I can turn the "CHANEL" logo letters towards my body if I feel like making this bag more under the radar. I like that I don't have to fish for my wallet and go through the trouble of undoing a CC clasp on a CF. I feel like this is just the type of everyday bag I needed in my collection! I did buy a pink samorga for my bag and really enjoy it giving my bag some structure without looking stiff. I don't carry a ton with me on a daily basis but I feel like this holds just enough. I use a different bag for my computer stuff anyways for work or classes.

Fashionably Amy did another video more recently on the Chanel 22 which compared thickness of leathers, and I would say this bag is made of a thicker and more plush leather than the thinner bags that she had mentioned, which appeared to be defective.

A fellow member was asking about wear so sharing pics after using my c22 for 2 months. I use it frequently. I don’t baby my bags. I don’t load it up (wallet, keys, umbrella, AirPods, sanitizer, phone, reading glasses and /or sunnies, maybe a small bottle of water).

As mentioned, I had some slight peeling issues so I used Saphir Canadian (black) on it. They have different colors as well.

It seals the leather, nourishes it and also restores its color. I thought that this might be good on high stress areas.

First picture is the cream, second picture is after application and third picture is after polishing. (I know some people probably roll their eyes at taking care of this issue instead of bringing it to the boutique but I felt that this might be an easy fix).

Not sure if you are set on black but the navy for 22K is very dark and non shiny

Hello chanel 22 lovers or haters ,
So I noticed interesting view based on my personal experience in past month or two. I happened to stop by chanel and there’s were quiet lot of inventory at store for chanel 22 bags. I also asked SA from another store about C 22 bag and she claimed they also have some left. Is it me starting to notice the hype about this bag kind of stating to phase out. Perhaps too early to tell…

Interesting, it’s quite the opposite in HK, we’ve been sold out nonstop. I waited 3 months for my small
Black with GHW and so far none of my SA’s have heard of any quality issues. I’m hoping mine will be fine as well, just picked mine up yesterday so haven’t used it yet I wasn’t a fan of the style at first then it grew on me. But after watching the negative YT reviews, I was hesitant then decided I actually really like the casual chic vibe
