Chanel 22 bag Club!

I like the bag and if the price was around 3k I would buy it. Just wondering for those who have it, what are your thoughts? Do you think it has staying power?

Ok, so I went to the boutique thinking for sure I wanted the white 22. I loved it but I saw the navy and fell in LOVE. it’s the perfect shade and looked so gorgeous with the gold hardware. I can’t emphasize enough how beautiful this is in person and so comfortable. I bought the small size. I’m 5’10” and a size 6 for reference.

Love it! I thought the same thing. I thought I wanted medium sized white but felt the small Navy was more versatile. I love how this bag is so functional! It's my go to everyday bag It is my shopping bag, my bohemian chic attire bag, my clutch (tuck in the straps and fold the top down). So many fun ways to style it!

I haven't had a chance to try on the bag yet and I've only looked at pictures. I hate the fact that this bag is being advertised by influencers, but other than that I love the bag! I love how "ugly" it is and how casual/luxe it looks (at least to me). Even if I took away the "CHANEL" on it, I would still love it. BUT if the gold chains were removed from this bag, then I'm not sure if I would love it anymore. Then it would just look like a drawstring bag.

Unfortunately, the small black with gold lettering is already sold out according to my SA. I also love the purple one and maybe even the upcoming caramel color, but I'm going to play it safe and try to get my hands on the "trash bag" color.

For those who have tried it on, does it stay on the shoulders pretty well? I have sloped shoulders and a lot of shoulder bags tend to fall off of me.

Agree with you, after I tried it on it changed my mind and now I´m considering getting one in one of the more colorful tones. The bag is practical and has amazing quality (the interior is a 10 and the pouch is also cool).

I´m also considering getting one after seeing how this influencer styled hers. It looks so cute paired with a mini!

The 22 in green is simply divine! Does anyone know if it will be part of the upcoming collection?

For those who have tried it on, does it stay on the shoulders pretty well? I have sloped shoulders and a lot of shoulder bags tend to fall off of me.

I have this issue too, and it seemed to stay on when I tried it. But sadly, it overwhelmed me (I’m short 5’2“ , medium build, not petite. The chanel wicker bag was also too big. Neither my SA nor my DH liked it either. Very sad, because I love the idea and the look on other people. BTW, I do wear other larger bags like the Victoria 35; the kelly sellier 32; 35 Trim II; and a BV TM hobo, so I was surprised that the 22 did not work. (Pics below of the 22; the wicker bag; and the other bags for comparison). My only thought might be that the other large bags I wear have either more structure or more texture and closer body drape, all of which somehow work better on my build.

my SA told me that it’s her understanding that the 22 will be repeated in future seasons

@880 I actually think the white 22 looks gorgeous on you! Was that the medium size you tried?

Yes, the wicker basket looks awkward and overwhelms your frame.

I have the same frame as you, medium build, 5’2”. Thanks for sharing your pics! It gives me a sense of how the bag will look on me.

I don't think the 22 looks bad on you but u agree your other larger bags look better on your frame.

I just looked at 2 different size 22 bags and both had rubbed color on a couple of the corners even though both bags were fresh from the stockroom and still completely wrapped up the way they arrived!! Can anyone check their 22 bags to see how the corners look? They are sewn in and the it seem like the sharp folded corners cause the dye/paint to come off? I’m not sure how this bag will wear if the corners already look like that! The bags I saw were white.

What size is the most popular for the 22 bag? I noticed the difference is minimal especially when worn but I can’t decide between small and medium. I’m not taking into account proportions to your own height/size but more so just wondering what the most sought after size is. What proportions does the bag look best in based on the overall dimensions of the bag itself. Think medium classic flaps are usually the “safe” size, mediums for boys, etc

I like the medium size better. I think the Medium has a more slouchy and relaxed vibe compared to the Small.
I'm keen in the light pink one, wonder if it comes only in small size.

I keep looking back at your pictures for reference because I'm having a hard time deciding between small vs. medium. I'm personally leaning towards the small because I think it will hold what I need day-to-day.

Do you think the navy looked smaller because it wasn't stuffed like the pink, purple and white were?

They all look nice on you! I think I saw a IG post of someone trying on the pink medium so I think it's out there.

I was able to try on the small and medium both stuffed as well as unstuffed, one chain down to really see the difference between the two sizes. The small always looked good with the perfect amount of slouch for me while the medium was also amazing it sometimes looked a little too slouchy. Most of the time I didn’t like the slouch if it wasn’t stuffed enough the top leather wasn’t scrunched a certain way. After trying both on I prefer the small but I would add a medium later if I still liked the bag!!
