I love fur! I have an amazing fox fur vintage that I got last year - it's so great.

BTW, I think it's hilarious that V Beckham won't wear real fur but has what, 30+ leather birkins...

I love all these furs! I would love a sable coat, but they are so darn expensive I just can't bring myself to do it. I stick with faux right now, but maybe one day...

Sable is so expensive I know. The thing is, if it what you really want and it will last perhaps 20 years then it can be a good buy. Obviously it still depends on ones finances. An alternative is mink with a sable trim. They can look similar but, I guess it is not quite the same (and you will always know).

Misha's fur vest is gorgeous. I have a similar one actually.

Victoria Beckham does wear fur and has rather a lot of it. In fact she has some beautiful pieces, including an amazing D&G fox cape. I know for certain that many celebrities simply wear real fur for the quality, warmth and nicer look and simply claim it is faux because they want to try and 'please all of the people all of the time'.

Rachel Zoe's fur look lush. She really can work a fur.

Great Thread!

I love fur - it's so versatile. It can be worn dressy or casual - a favorite look is a black turtle neck, jeans, boots and any style of fur. Doesn't matter whether it's a short jacket or a long coat - it's a chic, classy look. Years ago (25 to be exact) My Honey bought me a hip length mink jacket. It is styled exactly like a hoodie. Love the hood for cold weather, and it's detachable. The zip front is sporty looking and I still wear it to this day. If furs are cleaned and stored properly, they'll last more than a lifetime. Many of my friends are wearing furs that were passed down from grandmother to mother and now the daughters' already have dibs. It's true that some fur coats can be heavy - but it just depends - mink is very light and that's why you see celebrities wear alot of it. It can be sheared and dyed as well. Another good thing about fur is that it can be redesigned/restyled. As you can tell, I LOVE FUR - I own three and wear them alot, everywhere and with anything. (PS - you can get great deals at thrift shops and consignment stores)

Agreed. Its a crazy pattern but there is something about it that has the potential to be unflattering...as in I'd probably look like a giant crazed gorilla on the loose. lol. But a fashionable one! i think Id have to be stick thin to pull it off. Ill just admire it for now.
