I'm looking at getting one of the Cartier Trinity rings for my girlfriend as an engagement ring or a wedding band but I'm not sure what other rings would work well with it.

I can go two routs:
• As an engagement ring I'd get the higher end Trinity ring and a more simple wedding band.

• Or, I could go with the lower end Trinity ring as a wedding band and get a more traditional engagement ring.

My girlfriend has mentioned a couple times how much she loves the Trinity rings so I think she would be happy either way. However, since the ring is 3 rings in 1 my concern is that adding another ring might make everything look to busy or incohesive. I've seen a lot of parings of wedding bands and engagement rings that are ment to go together but nothing for the Trinity ring.

Has anyone seen the Trinity ring pared with either an engagement ring, wedding band, or any other rings (I'm just trying to get ideas)? Do you remember the color and shape or have photos of the other ring?

I'm a little out of my element looking for jewelry so I really appreciate any and all feedback. Thank you in advance!

Someone on Pricescope posted pictures of the extra-thin trinity worn as wedding ring with their engagement ring. I don't think we are allowed to post links but you should find it quite easily if you do a Google image search for pricescope trinity wedding.

I think I might also have a picture of the classic size trinity worn together with a solitaire so if you are interested, then I could look for it and post that.

Thanks Loony! I found it very easily. The thin Trinity rings work very well with the traditional engagement ring without overpowering it. I'll definitely keep that in mind as I hadn't seen the thin version of the Trinity ring yet.

You are so right! I guess that's why they call it "Two for Trinity ring" instead of "6 band ring" because it's not a trinity, anymore is it...

My old 7 band ring was called a 7 day ring but in those days they just called them rolling rings, so it was a 7 band rolling ring.

Now that I think about it, all the rolling rings were just called that... not Trinity.
I have a seven day Cartier rolling ring, size 61/4, but since my ring finger is size6, the rings do roll around a bit. My question is should the ring fit snugly so that it looks neat and rolled, or is it okay for it to roll around some? I am not an expert on rolling rings, but I love the look of my 7-band ring. Many thanks for for your advice!

I have had a cartier love ring (gift from my husband) from when we were dating. It is over 7/8 years old and i have only worn it about a dozen times. I have 2 issues:
1. It is not comfortable! The size up was what he originally bought and it was falling off so we exchanged it and the one I have has always felt too tight.
2. The white gold has NEVER looked shiny white. It looks dingy. i kinda wonder if I got a returned or resized ring??? The white gold is darker than my platinum wedding bands.

Has anyone experienced this? I feel bad I dont wear it. Would Cartier help or are they going to charge me to resize and redip it? I cant see spending a penny more on a ring I just about hate.

I'm pretty sure there will be a charge to re-size. Try wearing it on another finger. As far as the tone of the WG, that is totally normal. I have a lot of platinum jewelry and Cartier's unplated WG is more grey in color. Your ring was not plated to begin with. If you want them to rhodium plate, they will charge.

Your ring looks tight. I does it have any jingle to it at all if you shake your hand? It looks to me like you could size up especially since you have knuckles. Many times people with skinny fingers (no obvious knuckles) cannot size up.

No jingle at all - its supposed to jingle?? The first one was a 50 and if i shook it could slip off. This one is a 49. I am kinda in between (need a size 5 US).

It looks to tight imo. It's actually the trinity ring not love ring. They will charge you to resize it and dip it.

On my ring finger, I wear a US size 4 1/2 in a thin band and a 4 3/4 in a medium width ring and a 5 in a thick ring. In my Trinity I wear a 50. I could have fit the 49, but that was snug. My ring does have movement but will not go past my knuckle. I do hear a tingle jingle slightly when I shake my hand. That being said, it is the MOST COMFORTABLE ring I have ever worn!
