Cartier thin small/Love bracelet thread

Oh I've never seen the thinner one, but I would definitely prefer that one for myself! I love dainty jewellery, and I never really loved the look of the broader one, but that one I would defiantly consider! :) And I am not petite by any means nor are my wrists particularly thin either!

I have the small Love and I really cherish it! I think if i had gotten the classic size I would have felt like I needed to take it off to change up my look by now, but I haven't taken this one off for a year and a half and I don't ever plan to! It's just enough without being too masculine or bulky. I really prefer daintier jewelry. If you really like the small version but you're just afraid you'll feel like you're missing out by not getting the original size, I wouldn't worry about that. If you want to the classic and you're trying to talk yourself into the smaller one for price point or some other reason, you might end up always still wanting the classic version and not being happy with the slimmer one.

I plan on getting the small in a few months to mark a major accomplishment. When I stopped in the boutique a few weeks back to try it on, I also tried on the standard size and was surprised by how much I liked the regular too! PPs are right that it feels more substantial, but it’s also a little bit flashy. I’m eager to join the LOVE family, but don’t want really want a lot of attention. IMHO, the small is understated and feminine. It’s a perfect everyday bracelet so it’s a better fit for my lifestyle. Bonus points for being able to take it off at night if you want.

I know some posters have expressed concern that the small looks cheap. I suppose I could see that argument, but it’s a $4k bracelet I plan on pairing it with a VCA sweet in MOP, which together, cost a small much as a standard love. GL with your decision.

Cheap!! Oh my lol. That's insane.

I think the classics are obviously far more replicated and common. The smalls are dainty and elegant, just the right amount of gold. To each their own style. Some people like flashy bordering on gaudy, so rock it. Some people like simpler and elegant.

I am about to turn 40 in a month, and I think I may want the love bracelet. I went to the store in Short Hills, NJ and tried on the regular size and the smaller one. The smaller one felt better on my wrist (size 16), but I am worried I will feel like I cheaped out with the smaller one and that I will regret getting the smaller.

Any similar stories?

SH is my boutique also. I love them there. To me the regular is the classic love that will never go out of style. I would get the classic and maybe down the line get the thin.

Go with your gut, any reservations you have about the bracelet now will only grow worse once you buy the wrong one. It sounds like you would be happier with the thicker bracelet.

I'm also thinking about stacking my small Love with a VCA sweet! I'm thinking about a RG carnelian to match my RG Love. It's so easy to stack the small Love with other bracelets though at the moment I'm really enjoying wearing it on its own (that's usually when I get the most compliments!)

That one is beautiful! I’m thinking MOP after trying both on. I may also save up and splurge on a vintage five motif - we will see!

I tried on the small Love against the regular/ classic and realized that the regular is called a classic for a reason..it just sits so nicely with just the right amount of shine without being overboard and being able to see the screw design without it being in your face. Don’t justify price and flashiness vs with what your hear wants!

hi Everyone!
So I went back to Cartier today. I decided to do the regular sized one. The salesperson was like you aren't 20! Go big. Haha..now the debate is rose or yellow. The yellow is classic and safe but there is something sweet about the rose. Any thoughts?

I think it totally depends on your skin tone and your other jewelry. I do love the rose gold, but it kind of blends into my skin and so I prefer the pop I get from YG. You can’t go wrong! What color gold do you typically go for?
