Hi! Has anyone sent in their Love bracelet for replacement screws (new screw system) my bracelets are stuck- I have already managed to damage the screws trying to get them off and I’m sure that some additional damage will be caused to the screws in finally removing them.

How much was it and how long did it take?

TIA!

I sent my small JUC ring in for repair about a month ago.
The nail head got disconnected from the trunk of the ring.
I just bought this piece in July, so I'm a bit disappointed in the quality tbh
Understandably, material defects can happen but I'm definately not happy about it and hope they'll at least cover the cost completely.

I will have to send my small JUC in for repair. It got caught on something today and bent. It’s not terrible but still sad…does anyone know the price associated with this?
It shouldn't cost you anything if the underlying cause of the issue was a material problem. My small JUC ring got replaced completely after I reported an issue with it (please see my post above), though it took them about 2-3 months.
Did Cartier service get back to you yet?

Bumping this thread with a recent repair I had done to my watch! It is a Santos Galbée that my grandfather purchased in the 90s, but after his passing a few years ago, the watch was left to me. At first, I noticed minor issues with the watch— the waterproofing seal was broken and the bracelet had some minor rusting. I tried to delay servicing on the watch because, despite its minor issues, the watch still kept time. Well, only a few months into my wearing the watch, the bracelet snapped off my wrist one day whilst I was bringing in groceries from my car! Still, I was determined not to send the watch in for repairs. I (embarrassingly enough) even tried super glueing the bracelet back together to no avail . Eventually, the dial stopped working, so I was forced to bite the bullet and have the watch fixed once and for all.

I took my watch to the NYC 5th Ave. location and was quoted two to three weeks as the time it would take to finish the repairs. In actuality, it took about five months total (April-Sept.). The total cost for my repairs was ~1845 USD. Along with my repaired watch, I received a travel pouch, watch cushion, extra bracelet links, and a mini pouch for the extra links.

Itemised list of repairs:

Crown Replacement — 52 USD
Hand set Replacement — (fee waived)
Bracelet Replacement — 1000 USD
Complete Service — 385 USD
Bracelet Intervention — (fee waived)
Shining Service — (fee waived)
Dial Replacement — 258 USD

Total: 1695 USD + tax = 1845 USD

I feel like the repairs done were well worth their cost. My one gripe is that I wish they could have replaced the metal bracelet with an identical metal bracelet instead of using the new, seamless closure bracelet. I much prefer the old mechanism, and since this watch is a sentimental piece for me, it saddens me that I had to let such a large part of the watch go. I almost wish I had asked if I could keep the bracelet given the circumstances, but I doubt this would be allowed. Anyhow, I am trying to look on the bright side! This is a watch I will wear and cherish for years to come, and hopefully I can pass it down one day.

Hi,
Does anyone know if Cartier repair in Japan does it in Japan or sends to Europe? I have a dilemma, I'm in USA and I can send my ring to a local Cartier repair, but I know it will take forever like it was with my watch before. I'll be in Japan soon and hoped to drop my ring to a boutique there for a faster service.

I can't answer that, but I had a recent repair in the US and I had my bracelet back on my arm in 2 weeks.

I think repairs are getting faster. Recent repairs have been just a couple of weeks for me where they could take months in the past few years (I ship via a lable from my SA).

Oh boy, not in Japan. I emailed them and got response about timeline. 2-3 weeks for a quote since they receive the ring at the repair center, 1 month for repair after that. It's Richemont repair center, they must be servicing all brands including VCA, Piaget etc, but it's loooooooong. Not doing it.

I guess that doesn’t seem too bad to me, but I understand if it seems too long. Referencing repairs sent out in the USA only, one of my repairs during the pandemic took over a year, but the last two were 1-2 weeks (both in 2023). It seems to really depend. My repairs average about 1-2 months for Cartier over the past 2 years, but if stones need to be replaced or some major repair it is 6 months to 1 year. For VCA, sometimes it is a week and sometimes it is 1 year plus!

Thank for insights about VCA, they may go to the same Richemont center in USA too. My Cartier watch repair took over 8 months, but watch went to Switzerland from USA and back.
I'll just do in USA then. I need the stone replacement (you know conic onyx in Menotte ring), I'll be ready to wait for months then.
