We were at Cartier yesterday in California and asked the store manager if he thinks there will be a price increase May 1 or coming up soon? He said he didn't know of any specific date or a percentage, but due to inflation chances are that there will be one soon. We went ahead with my huge purchase and I will reveal on a thread and on my YouTube channel. My item already went up $700.00 in Dec., so we weren't going to chance it.

Got my RG JUC small off the preloved market because I KNOW that once Cartier increases so will preloved! So glad I got it. All my funds were rounded up just in time. At least the price increase won’t be huge like some other companies have done.
Would you mind sharing the site you purchased off of- I have found places like the real real and fashionphile are basically the same price as a new one!

So you therefore see that the inflation numbers are doctored. The gold alone is roughly 1500 now. And did you calculate the wage increases since then?
No nothing sophisticated like that. I used a calculator on the internet that if you put a dollar amount in a certain year what it would be today. It just averages inflation over the years. It is I’m sure not exact. But there is no real justification in the price increase especially these last few years regarding gold. We are paying for the brand. Look up how much 18kt gold costs and it doesn’t equal what we are paying.

Of course, I just took their official numbers and estimated the gold values. My point is if Cartier does not get any profit the Love would be 4.5 to 5k and NOT 2k. Moreover, I expect that Cartier did some profits back then, too.

Recheck your math. In no way is the gold worth $4.5 to 5K. Didn’t say they shouldn’t get a profit. I know it’s overpriced but I like the brand and have purchased many things. You came off snobbish to me. Just my opinion.
