I think Cartier is trying to get over where they were before the decrease some years ago. There are people walking around with loves on that cost more than current retail in the US. I know everyone is panicking but honestly they have been one of the most conservative brands as far as increases go. The increase they had in sept or oct whenever that was was the first in years.

Can anyone else confirm that the clash is excluded from the price increase? I hadn’t heard this from my SA. I was rushing to buy, but wouldn’t mind waiting until the end of the year. Thanks!

I didn't ask about that collection, however I was under the impression that the price increase is on everything. 6% on jewelry and 5% on watches. You should check with your SA if there is a specific piece you are considering.

Prices over there include 16% VAT which you are supposed to get back 10% refund. But you are right. It’s marginally cheaper than US considering the fact that I live in a state with high tax rate.
When I bought jewelry in Mexico, the SA swore that we would get VAT back after filing the forms. Never got anything, it was 1.5 years ago… so best not to calculate with a refund.
